| NAU BASKETBALL - UNITED BALLERS Can you hear the chants??? Over-rated! Over-rated! Yup, we fought hard for the #1 seed in NAU playoffs and we are bounced out in round 2 to the #8 seeded team. I have been playing for the last 10-12 years and this was the first time I saw any of there players. I have never seen these guys before. Well, we played without Danny and Jeff went to the wrong gym so he was later than usual. White Glove jumped all over us and scored inside and outside. We had lots of good looks but shots just were not falling. We trailed by 20 at the half. We fought back and won the second half but we could not over come the big lead we spotted them. White Glove made the free throws down the stretch. It was disappointing to lose in the playoffs but we had a good season. We had a good run and we did better than I expected. I love playing NAU the most. I love the intensity of the games. Sadly, I think I will stick to my guns....no more weekend bball for me. |
