Gruesome Twosome, part three.

                        Intergalactic Twin

"Come on, Ducks, chuck 'em, rip 'em apart, way to go!" Zack screamed at the top of his
lungs. All around thousands upon thousands of excited fans were screaming these very things
until it seemed the whole pond vibrated with the noise. Ivy was trying her best to ignore this
huge noise as her eyes intently gazed upon only one of the alien ducks as she skated
along the ice.

"All right, she stole the puck!" Ivy cried out happily. Her excited eyes followed this
young duck as she expertly moved around her opponents and swiftly swished the puck right past
the unsuspecting goalie, scoring the winning point.

"Ducks Win, Ducks Win, DUCKS WIN!!" yelled the enthusiastic announcer as the Ducks
gathered around the scorer, hugging her, patting her on the back and yelling along with everyone
else in the arena, "DUCKS ROCK!!"

"That really was an awesome game," Ivy admitted to her brother as
they were getting up from their seats.

"What's that," Zack cried out pretending to clean his ear, "Did I just hear what I think
I heard? Did you, who didn't even want to come here in the first place actually admit to having
FUN?!"

"Yes, I did," Ivy confessed. "What, is it a big crime to have a good time someplace? All
right then, I'm guilty, arrest me," she said putting her hands out in front of her like a
captured criminal.

"Well, sis," Zack began with a sly grin on his face, "Do you have
something I believe you want to say to me?"

"All right, I was wrong and you were right, feel better?"

        "Quite."

"Good, I'm glad. Now can we please go home?"

        "Home?"

        "Yeah, Zack, home."

"Gee, I'd have thought you'd want to meet this great team that won tonight, especially
the won that scored the winning goal. You seemed to be very impressed with her moves."

"What the heck are you talking about, little bro?"

"I'm talking about I have passes to go meet them after the game. In fact, that's how I
got the tickets, I won them both at a radio contest."

"Why didn't you tell me this?"

        "You never asked."

"Oh, never mind! Can we meet them?"

"You bet, right now! Let's go!" They both slowly inched their way down to the bottom of
the seats. Zack handed the passes to a rather chubby man in a dark blue suit and a loud tie. He
glanced at them.

"So, you're the big winners of the contest, huh? All righty, I'm Phil Palmfeather,
manager of the Ducks, they're in the locker room changing but they'll be out shortly, follow me
please." He lead them though a big door into what looked like a small waiting room. "I'll go tell
them you're here, they'll be right out." He left. Ivy began to pace nervously around the room.

	"Hold still, sis, will ya?"

"I can't help it, I'm nervous little bro!"

"Why should you be? I hear they're very nice, I'm sure they'll like you, especially your
twin." Ivy had to laugh at this. TWIN! They only looked a little bit alike. She didn't even know
if they would have anything in common! Still, she had never met any famous stars, much less
aliens face to face before. Suddenly, the door swung open and Mr. Palmfeather came in
leading the ducks.

"Wildwing," he addressed the one closest to him, "These are Ivy and Zack Smithwood, the
winners of the radio contest. I'll just leave you all alone to get to know each other." he said
with a smile as he walked out.

"Glad to meet both of you, and congratulations on winning the contest," Wildwing said in
a very friendly voice as he shook their hands.

"It's a complete honor to meet all of you," Zack said adoringly, "I've been one of your
biggest fans for such a long time, and my sister..well..she's a convert."

"Really?" Wildwing asked," Well, we should introduce ourselves to her then. I'm Wildwing
Drake, this is Nosedive, my own little brother." He said pointing to a smaller duck with long
hair who promptly shook their hands. "This is Tanya Featherson," he said pointing to a girl duck
with purple glasses and wild blond hair that was up in a huge ponytail on top of her head. She
blushed and waved slightly. "She's a little shy," Wildwing explained. He then said as he pointed
to the biggest duck that was right behind him, "This is Grin Downer." The huge duck did a quiet
deep bow. "This is Duke L' Orange," Wildwing continued, pointing to a duck wearing an eyepatch who
vigorously shook Zack's hand, but lifted Ivy's up and handsomely kissed it, causing her to giggle
and blush.

"SIS!" Zack cried out, "Really, getting hit on by a duck!"

"Shut up," she whispered, "I'm kind of enjoying this!" she said giggling.

Wildwing then smiled and put his hand on the shoulder of the young girl duck who had
scored the winning goal, "And this is Mallory McMallard."

Immediately Ivy stuck out her hand, "Great to meet you!"

"Great to meet YOU!" Mallory replied shaking her hand happily. Ivy noticed she was
studying her face. Was she thinking the same thing Ivy was? That they looked kind of the same
even though they were obviously different as different could be?

"Congratulations on making the winning goal. You really have a neat
way of playing!"

"Thank you, do you play hockey?"

"Well, no. Actually, I'm more into the martial arts myself!"

"NO! Are you serious? I'm a martial arts expert!"

        "REALLY?! What field?"

        "Karate mostly, you?"

"Oh, I have black belts in Tie-Kwon-Do, Judo, Karate."

"Black belts? What, is that how you keep track of what level you're on?"

"In a way.." Next thing they knew, they were locked in a heavy discussion about the
marital arts. Nosedive glanced at the two of them, then whispered to Zack.

"Whoa, too freaky man, this is like looking into an intergalactic mirror, almost!!"

"Yeah, I know, isn't it creepy?"

                  *              *             *

"Yeesh! You sure took long enough talking in there," Zack protested as they finally made
their way across the parking lot, "I mean, for someone who didn't even want to be here.."

"I'm sorry, little bro. I mean, me and Mallory have so much in common, I mean it's
mind-boggling! Was it my imagination, or do we even sound a little alike as well?" she asked,
tenderly holding an autographed picture that Mallory had given to her.

"That's the scary part, Zack muttered, just as a sound came from the beeper he was
wearing. "Hey, it's the Chief."

"At this time?" Ivy asked, checking her watch," It's got to be important!"

	"Go ahead, Chief!" Zack said.

"Hot tip!" the Chief cried out as he appeared before them," This just in from Crimenet
Carmen has just ripped off a valuable diamond from the Anaheim Museum! At least we think it's
her."

        "What do you mean, Chief?"

"Well, we've never seen anything like this before, I mean there seemed to be no sign of
entry at all, the guards never even saw anything."

"Not even her aircraft flying away?"

        "Nope, nothing!"

"Definitely suspicious, we'd better check it out."

When they arrived, they found the chief was right. Nothing seemed to be touched or
disturbed, nothing but the glass case that contained the jewel. Suddenly three separate bright
lights surrounded the detectives, and before they could say or do anything three huge lizards
were suddenly standing before them.

"There were the pests Carmen told us about!"

"You heard what the boss said, if they stand in our ways we'll never rise again! It
doesn't matter what Carmen wants, GET THEM!!"

Immediately the lizards grabbed huge guns and started firing down on them. Screaming in
fright the detectives dove behind a table.

        "This isn't Carmen's style!"

"Maybe Carmen didn't have anything to do with this after all!"

"No, you heard them say her name! What do we do?"

"What do you mean 'what do we do?' they're the one's with the guns! I'm leaning heavily
toward FLEEING!!" Just then, a huge glass sculpture shattered right in front of them and a huge,
scaly lizard pulled the table away and pointed his gun on them. "Say goodnight, Gracie," he
snarled.

"Ivy, does the phrase, RUN FOR YOUR LIFE mean anything to you?!"
