Emprise Shelties is a small kennel situated on a 135 acre farm in northwestern PA. The farm was originally home to my family's Morgan horses that we bred, trained, and showed for over 30 years.
In 1986, I purchased my first Sheltie, and became increasingly more interested, and dedicated to the Shetland Sheepdog breed.
Sixteen years later, the focus continues on quality, not quantity. We strive to produce sound, healthy Shelties; who are a joy to look at , as well as a live with.
We are proud of each of our dogs' national placements, breed wins, and performance titles. We are equally proud of our companion puppies, who have gone on to become treasured family members.
Emprise means "an adventure", and it has been. One filled with highs, lows, wins, losses, joy, and a sense of accomplishment...and all made worthwhile by true and lasting friendships of forever, learning, fun, and the love & accomplishments of some wonderful shelties.
