Peal grew up in Wisconsin, got a theatre Degree at Carroll College in Waukesha, toured around the country doing summer stock theatre, studied improv comedy with ComedySportz and Dudley Riggs in Minneapolis, and began a long tenure with the Refreshment Committee Theatre Company in St Paul, where he worked as ticket manager, actor, director and sketchwriter for touring shows, resident features and their weekly, nationally broadcast radio show "Sunday Nite" with Richard K Allison. After creating a volume of sketches and one-acts for the RCTC and area churches, he launched Excelsior Midwest Publishing to make these works available to churches around the country. |
