MY LITTLE

BROTHER

Hi;
I am Gary, Ruby's brother. I am 7 years old and at the first grade level in home school. Ruby and I have a lot of fun together. We like to play hide and seek, computer games, ride bikes, and tumbling. Even though we like to do most things together, we each have special things that interest us. I like to do "men things" with my dad. We burn wood for heat and I like to help him unload the truck and stack the wood into the barn. I can carry some pretty big pieces. I bought a hand-truck at a rummage sale last year with my allowance. I load it with smaller logs and take it up to the house for Mom to use in the fireplace. I also help Dad when things need fixing. I have my own toolbox of tools. We put a new motor on the tiller last summer and this winter we had to fix the log splitter. Just like "Tim The Tool Man" we put an electronic starter on it and vv-rrr-oooo-mm! it really goes now!
I like to go places where new buildings or roads are being built and watch the big trucks, bulldozers and machines, don't you? Someday I would like to build a house!

My family like to walk through the woods, it's a great place to play and has so much to see. We see signs of many different animals. Dad has hunted since he was a young man. He shows me how to tell where the deer have been. We also see squirrels, and prints from raccoon and fox.

Below, I have some places you might want to visit. I found some great pictures of heavy equipment, and a neat story you might like. I also found some pictures of Harley motorcycles, I have a Harley Davidson jacket I got for Christmas. It is just like the ones the big men wear when they ride their cycles. It keeps me warm and dry just like it does them! For my birthday my Aunt Barb gave me a matching leather jacket and hat for my Bitty Baby doll Claude. He looks great!

Season Update

It is fall now where we live and our garden is getting done for the year. I am going to miss being able to go outside and pick what I want for lunch [image]
We have been bringing wood into the barn for the furnace for the winter and Mom has taken the light and plants out of the fireplace that she puts in there in the summer to make it pretty. It is so nice to have a fire again in the fireplace at night when we are all in the living room. It feels so cozy and I like to watch it!
We are trying to round up the chickens and put them into a coop we made for them. So far we have about 20 of them. Dad had to wait until after dark and then climb up into the barn rafters to get many of them. When it is dark they won't move and he could pick them like grapes (very noisy grapes!) off a vine.
We have many kinds of chickens, some that have blue skin and their feathers look like fur they are called Australian Silkies. Our chickens lay different kinds of eggs too, some of our eggs are brown and some are blue-green. We have colored eggs year 'round not just at Easter! We just bought three buff chickens that are HUGE. They are much bigger than our Pekingese.
Here is how I like to cook eggs.
