Gary Pieters is an outstanding professional and community builder with effective communication, management, capacity building, and professional leadership in diverse private and public sector organizations, community-based and institutional settings. He is employed as as educator/education administrator with over 13 years of experience in the education sector. Gary Pieters has provided service to the community through his involvement and leadership on several boards and advisory committees including the Urban Alliance on Race Relations, Sojourn House and the Toronto Star Community Editorial Board. He attended the University of Toronto and earned his graduate and undergraduate degrees in African Studies, Political Science, Teacher Education and Computer Applications in Education. His interests and skills include: social media applications for knowledge building and engagement, content relevance in education and technology, social inclusion and engaged communities.
