F16-FIGHTING FALCON (Fold and Fly)..GIF images. This is the step-by-step instruction diagram, and pattern on creating a replica of F16-Falcon from a simple sheet of paper. It is a part of my book; "The Paper Air Machines". You can use "Paint Shop Pro", or other program to print this file. Make sure that the aspect ratio of 1:1.28 is maintained to avoid the distortion of the pattern. (I recommend 7.00 x 8.96 in.) I don't advise to use your Browser for printing these files. You will have a cleaner and better resolution if you save it and use your own printing utilities. The patterns in the book are two sided. I copied both sides separately, but I'm sure it is still easy to fold it with front side only, as long as you follow the drawing instructions.
Folding the nose of the airplane is a little confusing, but if you will look closer on step 21 of the diagram, you will notice that each of the two arrows are pointing to the front and to the back of the drawing (or to both sides of the airplane). It means that you will fold the paper on line - N, "flip inside out". To copy the GIF file, Just click it with your right hand mouse button, drag and save it to your files. There are four files to copy in this page. I apologize for the resolution of the drawing. (Or my friend's scanner) :=) Have fun flying !

Page one- Instruction diagram. Don't forget to Book Mark this site. There will be more available free copies in the future. |
|
Page two- Instruction diagram. Remember ! These Paper Air planes are Unique, The only kind in the world. It can compete with distance. I am very confident to say; "The only Paper Airplane that don't stall" (Of course some models do.) You don't even need any extra nose weight. Unless you are competing for distance. There is a special place to put a small paper clip under the nose and not visible from the outside. |
|
Page three- Pattern, side one. The unique ability of these paper models are when you throw it straight, and hard. It gains altitude instead of having the nose pointed upwards, and make a stall. More altitude means more distance. Throwing technique is easy, Just throw hard like you are targeting something with a dart, and let the plane itself maintain or gain it's altitude. |
|
Page four- Pattern, side two. Stability is another uniqueness of these models. Not a unique technology, but thanks to the shape of the real airplane. The underside is flat, The wings are below the Fuselage, and rudder. Have you seen the shape of the space shuttle? |

Hello.
I didn't know what a peice of paper could do! its the latest fad at my
school and I am the number uno designer their. My greatest creation is the
bunny and a slight change for a vampire. It is garanteed to do at least
two coplete high 360s. But I see I have much to learn. Make sure you post
some more free copies!
I think I've found the missing link! Your planes look AND fly great! The
F16 that I made just won a five buck bet because I threw it from my house
to the greenbelt(about 60 feet). Keep designing more planes of that type
and put out new plans on your site.
Cheers,
Kevan Lim
Kevan,
My dream is to see it flying across the Foot ball Stadium, I wonder if
it will cross the field if thrown from the highest seat. ;-)

I must say that at first I was not very impressed with the results of my
printing out of the pattern for the F-16. I didn't take very much care in
folding or cutting. I thought that this was going to be another one of
those "very hard to fold, wouldn't fly if you were lucky" type of paper
airplanes.
I give you my apologize, this model is one of the best flying paper
airplanes I have ever seen. It has earned a sacred spot on top of my
monitor.
You mention a book of all of your designs. How much is it and how do I get
it. I think I have got to have it.
Thanks for your wonderful work.
I surfed into your site and made the F-16. These things are great! Could you e-mail me other designs? I would be eternally grateful. My email address is:
Thanks,
Wow! I have never seen such a detail and realistic look to scaled paperplanes. Thank you for the plans for the F-16. Now I will have something
exciting to build tomorrow while waiting to fly with my next student.

Thanks for allowing me to use the f-16 print out, it looks cool cant wait
to actually fold it and watch it fly.
I was wondering, is your last name crespo? mine is, well i dont want to bug
you about that..
