make your own
indiana jones cobra

Have a bunch of those old decoder cards from the Indiana Jones Adventure lying around the house? Already deciphered all of the hieroglyphics in the queue? Well then, make your own Indiana Jones Cobra out of one!
Unfortunately, I can't take the credit for its design. One night, while my brother and I were waiting in line for the Indiana Jones Adventure, they stopped the line behind us at the entrance so they could go through and clean the queue area. Besides the two cast members cleaning up, there was also one guy that escorted us through. We talked to him during our trip into the temple which was actually kinda eerie because it was deserted behind us. Anyway, he had a decoder card and made a cobra out of it while we were waiting and gave it to my brother. As best as I can tell, this is the way he did it, so try yourself:

Steps A and B

  • Step A - Fold the top two corners at the line which is about an inch from the top to the center of the card making a triangle.
  • Step B - Bend the top 1/4 inch down slightly to make the snake's head.

Steps C and D

  • Step C - Bend back two flaps from about where the snake's "hood" is to points about a 1/2 inch from the bottom edge on each side. The two flaps should barely touch in back.
  • Step D - The two flaps should be folded back at a perpendicular to the card so as to act as stand for the cobra . Also, give shape to the cobra's hood by bending it slightly at different points. It should have an almost curved shape. Additionally, make sure that the cobra's head is bent at more of an angle than the rest of the hood.
