12/29/99-In a USA Today article, Ty Warner states, "I wanted to come up with something that would be a total surprise. I did, and we will launch this new product at the trade shows in January." Meanwhile, comments about "Ty TV" were noted on the InfoBeanie on Tuesday. Ty has registered EBeanies and EBeanie under an interesting classification described as, "Providing a wide variety of information in the fields of Children's Entertainment, education, recreation, games and family activities via \multi-user global information networks."

Ty Warner has posted the following on the Ty Talk Cyberboard: "I have been reading your posts both here and at other sites. I have heard your challenge to "put my money where my mouth is" by matching any funds raised from the "Global Poll". I think that is a great idea! 12/27/99-I have been so busy I haven't been able to work on updating my web site. I will update as much has I can and try to finish up tomorrow.

As many of you already know TY annonunced Christmas Eve he was leaving it up to the collectors to decide if he should continue to make Beanie Babies. Starting on December 31st you can vote on the TY web site or telephone. It will cost you $.50 cents to cast your vote. All money collected will go to charity. Tell me what you think? Ty had E-bay stop all auction that were pre-selling New Releases. TY stated that there were no new releases for 2000.

Many people will not get the Clubby Buddies order from the BBOC. Many will get a credit back on their credit card due to the fact that their are no more Clubby Buddies to sell. They ran out and are not able to fill all the order they received. They have stated they will not be ordering any more. There will be many disappointed people again, many never received there first Clubby Beanie!

A Ty Sales Rep reports they were given a special Millennium Buddy at the annual Chicago sales meeting. Autographed by Ty Warner and numbered 1 to 303 they have a special hang tag for the Sales Rep. This is in addition to a gift basket that was given to them earlier.

12/14/99-Ty® sales rep attended a meeting held at the Renaissance Hotel in Chicago this weekend, each rep received a gift basket which included a Snowboy Buddy, a box of chocolates from Marshall Fields, a bag of popcorn, catalogs from Crate & Barrel and Harry & David, and a letter on Ty Inc. stationery. There was no rare Beanie Baby (Like The #1 Bear)included in the gift baskets. It is believed that they were imformed of what is new for TY the first of the year.

12/13/99-TY NEWSFLASH - Ty announces more retirements today. Beanie Buddies-Snort the Bull,Jabber the Parrot,Rover the Dog,Pinky the Flamingo,Waddle the Penguin, Stretch the Ostrich,Snowboy the Snowboy. Attic Treasure-Beezee. And Pillow Pals-Rusty,Carrots,Snap,Paddles,Antlers,Chewy,Ribbit,Meow,Kolala,Squirt,Swinger,Huggy,Sherbert, Ba Ba,Woof,Sparkler. Also and lot of their regular Plush line.

I am hearing more about a new line for TY which will be availiable the second week of the new year. I have heard TY will announce the new line New Years Eve on their web site. E-bay has the first of the new line up for auction. The dealer is from Illinois and has a prefect feedback recorder. The new Beanie is a white bear "The Beginning"

The value of Beanie Babies had taken a big drop after the announcement that TY would retire all of them at the end of the year. But I am starting to see that the values are increasing now that TY has stated this Line will be gone.

12/12/99-TY NEWSFLASH - Retirement announced of Buddies Chip, Gobbles, Spinner, Humphrey, Jake, Peking, Bongo and, Hippity.

I received and e-mail from a retailer in London stating as of January 14, 2000 they will be able to order a new line of Bean Bags.(This is TY UK only at this time) The name is not known at this time. The line will not be as big as the Beanie Baby and will be availible in much smaller numbers. This line will also be Trademarked.

The retirement of Beanies™ has hit the Associated Press, in which they reference the cryptic message posted on the Ty.com Web site (InfoBeanie™). Ty Inc. spokeswoman Anne Nickels said she had no idea why the cuddly toys were being discontinued, adding that the decision to stop production was made by the firm's owner, Ty Warner. "We're just as much in the dark here as everybody else," she said.

A party is mentioned for NEW YEARS EVE, I still think TY has something new for US!

12/9/99-* InfoBeanie The End Writes About The End *Wednesday December 8, 1999 8:49 p.m. We just found out what the important news was that our friends at Ty had to tell us! We found out that when we all retire on December 31, there will be no new Beanies to replace us! Can you believe it! I just can’t imagine the playroom without any Beanies in it! I asked our friends at Ty what’s going to happen to all of our toys and games. They said that they would donate them to the shelter. I guess that is a good thing. Oh my goodness! I just realized something! I really am the last ever Info Beanie! Gee, that makes me a little sad. I’m going to go and talk to the other Beanies and see what they all think about this. I’ll talk to you tomorrow. Good night!

11/26/99-Hi I'm back sorry for not updating lately, I have been really sick with a respiratory and a bad sinus infections. I have not been well for almost a month now. I am going to try to update you as much as I can.

Nov 9 th- Ty announced that December 3rd would be the last day for the US and Canada to order the Clubby Buddies.

Nov 10th-E-bay has a auction of gold coins from the platinum Club kits.

Nov 11th- Ty Warner is announced to be one of the richest toymakers in the world. Canadian Reps call Canadian retailers to tell them they can order the summer exclusive for November and December.Ty raises over $21 million for the Princess Diana Memorial Fund. Series IV Beanie Babie Cards starts arriving in the stores.

Nov 12 th- TY NEWSFLASH Millennium the Bear retires.

Nov 18th- TY NEWSFLASH Cranberry Bear Buddy retires.

Nov 20th- TY NEWSFLASH Millenium Bear Buddy, Erin Bear Buddy and Halo Beanie Baby retire.

Nov 22nd-Ty Warner has donated Beanie Babies to former Chicago Bear Chris Zorich to be distributed to needy families with Thanksgiving meals. A great gesture to a great cause.

10/24/99-Hi everyone, Sorry again for lack of updates. I have been very sick with the flu.

Rumors are that TY will make a big announcement on Wednesday.

Beak was voted in as the new InfoBeanie for November.

Due to a tightening of European Health and Safety Regulations as of 1/1/2000. All bean bag toys must meet the tighter standards of having a second safety liner inside, to help keep the beans from spilling should the seams of the plush material split. While it is possible to keep the same styles only with a second liner inside, it may also offer an opportunity to redesign the current line. TY's Beanie Babies met this new requirements.A letter from the Ty® legal team stating that all Ty products have been tested against the new standards which come into effect as of January 31, 2001 and they have certificates to prove their products have passed all current Health and Safety Regulations in Europe.

October 27th Eucalyptus retires!

Germania with the single rectangular tush tag is now showing up in stores. Too soon to tell how much difference in price this will be for Germania.

Beanie Babies in Space? In December on the space shuttle Discovery, Astronaut Lt. Commander Scott Kelly, plans to carry with him a Beanie Baby belonging to his daughter and the flag taken by a friend to the North pole.

I received my Clubby Buddies this past week. they are very cute.

10/24/99-Hi everyone, I am back from our anniversary trip. Our family and friends had a wonderful party for us and we had a great time. So now I need to update you on Beanie stuff. I am having computer problems still so I will try to get as much in as I can before my computer crashes again.

Ty Canada® orderform a mistake, A special form was sent out to Ty Canada® retailers on October 8, 1999, allowing orders of 50 different retired Beanie Baby® styles -- but according to Ty Canada, the form was little more than a mistake. According to the form, a minimum of 12 per style and a maximum of 48 can be ordered by October 18, 1999, for expected November delivery dates. The order form also states there are "no backorders" and that "quantities are limited."News of the forms first leaked out on Monday, but Ty Canada was unavailable for comment; on Tuesday, the company told Bean Bag World that while the forms had indeed been shipped to retailers, they were incorrect. Ty seemed confused as to how or why they were sent.

Some of you may recall last year's voting poll on Ty.com where they dressed up some of the Beanies for Halloween. Look for the same this year as the InfoBeanie mentions it in the Diary. Last years costumes were adorable!

On the Rosie O'Donnell show on Monday the 18th, Beanies Ty2K and The End were given out on the Rosie O'Donnell Show. Rosie stated The End Bear is the last Beanie Baby ever to be made. Also Ty Warner signed the bears which are to be auctioned on eBay starting today. (Ty Warner has signed the hang tags for each of these Beanie Babies. Included in this basket of Beanies are the following: The End, Slowpoke, Lips, Chipper, Scaly, Flitter, Honks, B.B. Bear, Wallace, 1999 Holiday Teddy, Ty 2K, Sheets, and Groovy.) All proceeds go to the National Breast Cancer Coalition.

Ty Reps Released - TipToe has been retired.

As a show of appreciation for a nearly $3 million donation toward Westmont's new park, the Westmont Park District will name the park after a popular toy maker based in the village. Community Park North will be known as Ty Warner Park, according to Ronald Gunter, Park District director.

Rosie's Ty Warner signed basket of Beanie Babies auction wrapped up at $13,100.00, the auction ending with a high bid by one of the more active eBay traders, queenie-beanie.

NO MORE BEANIES AT WALGREENS! Ty has been able to use their legal muscle to pull Beanies off the shelves at Walgreens. 10/12/99-Sorry for being behind again, I have been having many problems with my computer. It locks up all the time and I can't get it to do anything most of the time. It is going into be repaired this week. I sure could use a new one soon. I will not be updating for the next couple of days, my husband Paul and I are celebrating our 25th anniversary tomorrow, and we are going to try and get away for a few days.

Now Beanie news, I still have not heard from this months winner of the contest I will post it as soon as I hear from them. I have been trying to put this month's contest on, but because of computer problems haven't been able to get it on, will try again tonight.

CBS News Saturday Morning , had a a smal part on BEanie collecting stating that Beanies will rise in value in the coming years. It was stated that those selling out now will lose out for selling early.

"He was cool," said Snyder after her September meeting with the Commander-in-Chief. "He collects BeanieBabies."

TY is upsetting many web masters who have sites that promotes their product, and more and more site are being asked to remove any of TY's logo's and pictures. They feel they have help TY and shouldn't be put in a spot that they either remove it or go to court. I think TY is digging a hole they wouldn't be able to get out of.

10/7/99-Ty has posted a News Flash which states the following,"As a follow-up to our previous warning, we have now closed over 125 additional Hallmark franchise locations that were in violation of our policy against trans-shipping. We will use all available resources to root out and close accounts that trans-ship. Shipping records and financial receipts create trails, and all leads will be thoroughly investigated as we continue our efforts. Accounts that want continued shipments of Ty products should think long and hard before trans-shipping. We hope that our accounts take our warnings seriously, because we at Ty take our policy against trans-shipping seriously."

And another New Flash,""To ensure that all BBOC Members have the opportunity to order the Members Only Exclusive Offers, the BBOC will be extending the Clubby™ Beanie Buddy™ and Clubby II™ Beanie Buddy™ offers through Friday, December 3,1999.""

October orders of Beanie Babies have been arriving in smaller boxes and were not marked Oakbrook on the sides. They were in plain boxes and have a new shipping tape on the top and bottom. It says in big, bold letters: CAUTION SECURITY SEALED PACKAGE If seal is broken or other sealing methods used, Do Not give a clear receipt to transportation company. Examine contents first. Sign receipt "Seal Broken". While not all retailers received the new security boxes, others do confirm thereport. I guess TY is trying to stop theft of Beanies before they reach the retailers. Also makes you think why would TY be going through all this trouble if they were done making BEANIES???

Several collectors who placed their orders on the first day orders were accepted. The collectors cards included free for those with both the Platinum and Gold membership cards, look just like the puzzle cards of the Beanie™ card to the Buddy™ card. I guess mine should be delivered soon.

A store in a suburb of Chicago, Illinois has received their first shipment of Beanie IV cards. Presell auctions have already begun to appear on eBay. Bidding starts at $34.99.

Members of the Beanie Babies Official Club may now download a free screensaver from the BBOC. The screensaver begins with a blue screen with a closed door, Clubby II peaks through and then when the user clicks on the door, circles of different BBOC products appear. This appears more to be more like a product ad than a screensaver. Collectors were expecting to see Beanie Babies and not product advertisements for the Millennium Calendar, Collector’s Card Book, Series III and other BBOC products.

The new Snowboy Beanie Buddie will be harder to find due to the fact that only five will be shipped at a time instead of six.

The Ty2K Bear retires before it is even born? It is retiring on 12/31/1999 and has a birthdate of 1/1/2000. Is this a hint that maybe Ty2K is the beginning of a new beginning for the year2000.

There appears to be some confusion over the name of the Snowboy™ Beanie Buddy®. While the tags on the Beanie Buddy refer to it as 'Snowboy', customer service and invoices refer to the only Buddy not to taken from a Beanie Baby® design as 'Snowy the snowboy'. It appears the 'Snowy' name only appears on invoices from the Ty® computer system. So far the tags on this new release, now arriving at retail stores, have only shown the 'Snowboy' name.

Missing from the Newsflash was a definition of "Trans-Shipping" which prompted many questions from collectors. Ty® defines "Trans-Shipping" to be the selling of their products directly to secondary market dealers instead of placing them on store shelves. This practice is also commonly referred to by many "selling out the back-dooring".

A new 16 month TY Beanie calendar is at retailers. It is a year 2000 calendar.

TY continues to pull auctions off E-bay for the blue face Spangle. TY claims none have been shipped to any retailers and that they have been stolen from the company. Some retailers have claimed to have received a shipment of these Spangles. TY says done have been shipped!

The new Slither Buddie is the longest Buddie yet. Slither is the longest Beanie Buddy ever made. Measuring 47" from the tip of his tail to the tip of this tongue.

We at Ty take our policy against trans-shipping very seriously, and we are committed to the vigorous enforcement of this policy. We are not going to continue to do business with accounts who continue to violate our policy against trans-shipping. Because of ongoing investigations, we expect more stores to lose their Ty accounts because of trans-shipping within the next few weeks. Is trans-shipping worth the risk? 9/27/99-Sorry late again updating. My life has been very busy lately hope you all understand. The counter on my web site is not working as many of you have noticed. I can not find out why it is not working. I will most likely have to get a new one. For the new readers yes the 100,000 visitor has been awarded. I will have another contest soon. You still have a week to enter the monthly contest question. It is on my contest page.

Kelloggs will be adding mini bean bags in their boxes the rumor was that they would be TY Beanies but this has been cleareed up. "Meghan, a spokesperson at Kellogg, has stated the article in the Chicago Tribune about a Kellogg and Ty partnership is not in fact true. They will have mini-bean bag toys in their cereal boxes sometime near January, however the co-promotion is not with Ty Inc. A spokesperson at Ty Inc. also confirmed the news article was untrue."

TY has a law suit filed against the maker of Holy Bears. Ty claims these are look likes and have stolen TY's idea. Ty wants them all destroyed.

Forbes magazine names the riches Americans. Three of the top four people on the annual list released Thursday made fortunes with software giant Microsoft. Bill Gates was of course number 1 on the list with $85 Billion (last year it was only $59 Billion). And, tied at 33rd is Ty Warner (59 years old), with about 5 billion dollars!

Britannia Buddies have made their way to the stores in the UK. They are selling on the secondary market for about $100-$150. Also many of the 10 new Beanies are being found here in the US.

***DYED BEANIES***

9/21/99-Caution when buying Beanies of different colors. Some Beanies are being dyed and are being sold. I received an e-mail about different colored Halo's. Ty only makes Halo in white. If you like the beanie different colors then buy them, but the are not coming from TY in these colors!

The last date for delivery of Beanies to the retailers is December 23rd. Any retailers ordering after this date will not receive their orders. In the past TY has continued to ship retired Beanies, I think they will ship out these Beanies until they have no more in stock.

The new BBOC coins are showing up in the US. I received an e-mail from someone in Conn and in Vermont stating they have found the new coins.

9/20/99-We survived Floyd! We did lose power, very high winds and lots of rain. Had more of a problem with my internet server again after the storm. I guess we are suppose to get some rain this week from Harvey, but not a bad storm. Hope it doesn't put me off the internet again.

A Billionaire II Bear was up for auction this past week. The reserve was not met, the high bid was 6,000.

The new releases are showing up. I have been told that Groovy the new TY-dyed BEar has a purle nose, and the material is like that of Curly. The tush tag is now a single, double sided halogram tag instead of the loop tag.

TY will be shipping the next set of BBOC TRading Cards. Series 4 will be shipped in the October.

TY pulls all blue face Spangles from there auctions. They state that theses are not for sale and are either fakes or stolen from TY.A letter from TY to E-bay states, "Ty® has provided a sworn statement under the penalty of perjury of law that the item(s) in question violate their copyright, trademark or other rights. Ty has contacted eBay directly and informed us that Ty has not even released this product, and therefore any item now in the hands of the public is either counterfeit, or has been stolen from their company."

TY has redesigned their tag protectors, they are suppose to be much easier to open and close.

9/15/99-Two more coins found in Canada. Peanut and Quackers.

Just want to let you know that here in NH we are suppose to get a visit from hurricane Floyd sometime tommorrow. We may lose power for a few days. I will update as soon as I can get back on the air. Last storm we lost power for one week. Everyone in Floyds way stay safe!

Ty Inc.® reinforces its corporate policy on sales in the U.S. by sending a copy of it to each Ty® authorized retailer. The policy, subtitled "Sales to Mass Merchants, Wholesalers, Jobbers, Discounters, Exporters, Importers, and Secondary Market Dealers", states that Ty Inc. limits its sales to a specific marketing niche -- the specialty gift retailer. The letter also states the policy is undermined by a practice known as "Trans-shipping", which many commonly refer to as "Back-Dooring" to secondary market dealers. The decision to trans-ship Ty products is left up to each retailer, however Ty reserves the right to unilaterally terminate sales of Ty products for any reason, including trans-shipping.

RUMOR-Received an e-mail from someone who claims to work for TY. They say that on January 1st 2000, TY will release a new line of "CENTURY BEANIES". Thease will have halogram red, white, and blue swing tags, and gold tush tags. They will all retire on December 31st 2000. On January 1st 2001, TY will release another line of Beanies called "2001 BEANIES". Remember this is just a rumor!

***WHOLE NEW SET OF COINS!***

9/14/99-A new set of coins is being found in the BBOC Membership kits. Clubby was found by a number of people. Now Mooch the monkey and Millenium coins are being found.

A new tush tag is being found on Beanies, instead of the loop it is a single tag. It still has the halogram on it.

Ty gives employees a new Billionaire Bear at company picnic on Sept 12th. The new Bear is cranberry with double gold dollar signs and is called Billionaire II. Each Bear was handed signed by Ty Warner.

***NEW CLUBBY COIN FOUND!***

9/13/99-I feel like I am always apologizing for being late in updating. My life has been so busy lately, I try to get to it everyday but someday just not enough hours in a day.

A new platinum BBOC coin was found it a kit in Barrie Canada. It has Clubby on it. He is in a sitting and has a bow around his neck. This is the first reported Clubby coin, it sold for over $100. on E-bay. It was a rare coin and it is not known how many more there are.

The BBOC Trading card book is a hot item selling out very quickly. This book has only the series 1 & 2 cards.

Ty Retailers are calling it quits! Many retailers are getting tired of dealing with Ty and are no longer selling Beanie Babies. The e-mails I have been receiving state they never get what they order and they are just fed up with dealing with TY and the way they do business. Be aware of postings on the the cyberboard that have TY Warner on TY as signatures, many fake posting have been put up only to be remove soon after.

I have received many e-mails about people not happy with the story in People magazine on TY Warner. Many are very disappointed in the article.

I have received some info from a source that has been very reliable. They claim that TY has announced the retirement of the Beanie Babie line due to over producing Beanie Babies in 1998 & 1999. They over estimated the supply and demand for them, causing interest in them to drop. TY's plans are to redo the line and make them harder to find and make fewer of them in hopes of gaining interest in them again. There are still many die hard collectors out there (including me!) I think we will see some big announces the first of the year.

9/10/99-I received an e-mail today stating that the 2000 Y2K signed Bears are only a rumor. TY Warner has made it clear that this is not a fact!

The price on Osito has gone up 30% since TY's announcement, Germania has gone up 25%, and the Birthday Bear has gone up 25%.

The Rosie O'Donnell Show yesterday, gave a basket of 99 Beanies Babies to a girl who had her birthday. She turned 9 on 9/9/99.

The September 20th issue of People Magazine, just now hitting newsstands, features a huge spread on Ty Warner entitled "Bean There Done That". The article can be found in the ‘Up Front’ section of that issue. Included is the history of Beanies, plus lots of photos, first photos since 1993 and more.

***THREE FACES OF SPANGLE!***

9/9/99-Spangle was made with 3 different color faces. Pink is the most available, than white, and blue. Six of the blue face Spangles were up for auction on e-bay the last couple of days they sold for about $150. each.

2000 of the Y2K bears have been hand signed by TY Warner. They are be send out randomly to retailers.

9/7/99-Sorry for not updating over the long weekend, I have been very busy this weekend. My sister Sue got married this weekend and I have been out straight all weekend. This is the first chance I have had to work on my web site.

There were some pictures of the new releases on the web this past weekend but TY has pulled them all. The Beanies were illegally take and the pictures were pulled from all sites. I guess Ty is keeping them a big secert.

Rumors of a new logo for the 21st century for TY are flying very where.

Many think that the new Bear "The END" means the end of beanie Babies, but this is another thought that was send to me.,"Alfred Hitchcock the master of suspense was very famous for ending his movies with the simple closing of "THE END". He was knows for his black screen with the silhouette of his image. Anyway, Friday Aug 13th (I think) 100 years ago was when he was born. There have been many celebrations this past month of his work, and special screenings in memory of him."

Sales of Beanie Babies on the internet has triple since the announcement of the retirement of all Beanie Babies. So have desided to sell of their collections, some have gone out and bought what ever ones they can find. Still other are just waiting to see what TY has for the future, but many die hard collector don't beleive this is the end.

Some of the new releases have been seen in the UK, I was sent this info on them. Ty 2K™, is a white bear with confetti (some were suggesting it was ticker-tape ribbons) all over him... very pretty and brightly colored with blue, red, white and green colors on him!,Groovy™ , is the color of the Birthday Bear™ but the fabric is like Fuzz™... very pretty, and many people picked him up first!, Wallace™ , is a beautiful grass green, also in the fabric like Fuzz, and has a lovely fleece plaid scarf!,1999 Holiday Teddy™ , a pretty baby blue with white snowflakes and another fleece blue scarf!,The End Bear™, is all black with a gold bow tie and has embroidered in gold thread on his chest "The End" .. the fireworks are red, green and yellow, so very pretty! He has no birthdate, but his poem reads:

It's been fun for everyone,

Peace & Hope are never gone,

Love you all and say so long"

9/3/99-Ty Inc. has registered some new trademarks which could be a sign of new names for their product lines including "Bean E Babies", "Bean E Bears", "Bean E Buddies", "E Babies", and others.

Here's a brief description of the bears TyInc. released on August 31: "Wallace™"bear is a Scottish bear,"Groovy™" bear is Ty-dyed, "Ty2K™" is a confetti bear,"The End™" is a black bear.

I was just sent an e-mail that state,"a copy of a memo Ty Warner sent to his employees and sales reps today regarding August 31, 1999, which states:

"It would be foolish and premature to speculate on the fate of the "Beanies" (both Babies and Buddies) before first reading my hang tag poem…Don't! TY"

The e-mail also stated there is a new 6th generation hologram hang tag that states, "Collectible of the 21st century." Only time will tell what TY is up to, but I am sure he's not done with Beanies!

Today Is Ty Warners Birthday.

A Comment from Mary Beth's Bean Bag World Monthly editor-in-chief Mary Beth Sobolewski believes the announcement does not necessarily mean the end of the Beanie line. ``The announcement by Ty to retire all Beanies is probably the biggest announcement in its history,'' comments Sobolewski. ``But, just because Ty is retiring all of today's Beanie Babies does not mean that the line will end. I believe that with the new millennium we can anticipate a whole new exciting family of Beanie Babies for consumers to seek and collect. ***WHAT'S NEW?***

9/2/99-I'm back had some problems last night again with my server I was trying to update and I couldn't get back on.

I have gotten many e-mail in the last 2 days and I have been trying to keep up with them. First is the 100,000 visit contest. It was very close, but most agree to give it to the girl. Some felt it wasn't fair to everyone for someone to sit for hours hitting the refresh button. Some felt that due to the counter error I should set a new number for the contest. So I will award the prize to the girl. I also have a winner in the Guess the ansewr question for August. Many have e-mailed me saying September contest is to difficult, if makes you think a little.

I have gotten a lot of responses on what people think TY's is up too. I will post them later today on the comments page. I have been watching the news for the last two days , listening to everyone one saying this is the death of TY, I DON'T THINK SO! The man is to smart to let it all go! He has got his name and product on everyones lips and every TV station around the world, what more can you ask for FREE ADVERTISING!

9/1/99-TY announced the retirement of Loosy today.

I have been asked all day what I thought TY is up to with retiring all the Beanie Babies as of 12/31/99. These are my thoughts,"Ty has just started TY Japan, Beanies are hot in the UK and Germany. TY just open a web site in these countries. They have spent a lot of money on law suits to protect their trademark name Beanie Babies. I think that starting on January 1st of the new Millenium we will see a new style of Beanie Babies."

8/31/99-TY's web site went black sometime around midnight last night. There were about 800 hits per second just before it went black. The page counter was at 3024187265 just before the site went black, should be interesting to see how many page views have occurred during the blackout.It's adds to the excitement of the annonucement. 8/30/99-I need your help on this one. Due to the problem with the counter 100,000 hits never showed when it hit. I can do one of to things, 1. Pick another number and hope the counter doesn't do it again. 2. A 12 year old sat at the computer for hours hitting the "Refresh button". Believing that she had won the contest when it hit the number 10,000. (due to the counter error). I want to be fair to everyone, so I am going to let you decide what I should do, e-mail me and let me know if I should set another number or give the prize to the person who believes she is the winner? 8/29/99-The counter has been reset to the number of hits that it is suppose to have. What may have happened is that so many hits were being made at the same time it jammed the counter. I will have to decide what to do about the contest. I will let you know tomorrow

Confusion with Canadian phone orders. One subscriber was told two days ago they were not accepting orders from Canadian residents. Another try over the weekend was successful. No word on if the online system has been fixed to allow both numbers and letters.

This month Ty is closing the Info Beanie polls (voting for the next month's Info Beanie) a day early. Will close on the 30th ~ generally the polls close at noon on the last day of month. Ty apparently wants NOTHING to disturb his announcement!

The Boston show which began today is the last trade show on Ty's list to attend for the summer exclusives. I will keep you informed as to what new with the excvises after the shows are over.

8/29/99-I had announced last night that there was a winner in the contest. I guess I didn't look close enough, it has been pointed out to me (by many) that there has been a problem with the counter. The number is at 10,000 not 100,000. I have e-mail the person who thought that they had won, and explained that there has been a problem. I am trying to find out what the problem is. I will try to get the counter reset. I will update later today and let you know what I found out.

8/28/99-Looks like there is a winner in the 10,000 visitor contest. Someone was very busy last night, I had over 2,500 hits yesterday. As of yesterday, the BBOC phone line (1-888-750-1101) was not accepting orders from Canadian residents, even though the BBOC Web site shows ordering is available for Canada and shipping costs of $8 per unit.

8/27/99-TY announces the retirment of Wiser the owl today. I am wondering if we will see a retirement a day until the 31st?

Canadian residents can now order Clubby™ Beanie Buddies® from BBOC ®. Some Canadians have reported problems ordering online, as the postal code only accepts numbers. I expect this will be correctly shortly though. Shipping to Canada is $8 per Clubby™. Canadians should be able to phone in orders to 1-888-750-1101.

Ty Europe has sent out letters to their retailers asking for a recall of the Attic Treasure Gordon citing that tests show the bear’s raincoat and hat can contain too much lead to pass European Standards. The letter states there is no danger to any individuals or to any child that may chew on the material

8/26/99-Ty announces the retirement of Fortune the Panda Bear.

Ty also makes statement on the Britannina Buddie, "No such Bear has been shipped to any retailer, if one does exist it is either a fake or it has been stolen!" E-bay auction of the Britannia Buddie was pulled when a TV Star offers a high amount for the Bear.

8/24/99-I have received info from a retailer in London that they were sent a shipment that had 3 Britannia Buddies in it along with 6 each of the show exclusives. I not know if the Britannia Buddy will be exclusive to the UK. I have heard that this may be a fake, there is a picture on some web sites of theis Buddie, but it is very fuzzy around the flag. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Gold and Platinum members of the BBOC have been receiving the BBOC Newsletter in the mail. I guess we won't have to go looking for them in the stores.

Ty applied and registered the web domain "BeaniesUK" earlier this summer and now the website is under construction!! I beleive this may have something to do with the BIG ANNOUNCEMENT due on August 31st.

8/20/99-Having problems again. Very frustrating! I am looking into a new server. Anyway I finally was able to order my Clubbys I was able to order 2 sets.

Beanie Craze hits Japan. Many Japanese adults and teens lined up in the basement of Ginza's Sony building on Tuesday morning to buy Beanie Babies®. Ty® Japan is run by Johnny Yo and his wife Yuko Yo and much like Ty® Inc. in the USA, its their policy not to answer any questions. Ty® Japan hired the largest advertising agency in Japan to raise awareness in the media, not to advertise. Thousands of Beanie Babies® sold in one day out of the Sony Plaza store.

Changes to the Clubby II kit and to Clubby II. The tush tag now says Clubby II. You can no longer see the number on the membership cards through the plastic on the kit. And the color of the card has changed. The color of the lettering "Official Club™ Platinum Edition" has changed from black to red, the color of the card is lighter. Some have reported cards with a different color background logo and even a lighter color overall.

There are only three trade shows left for Ty retailers to place their orders for the Ty tradeshow exclusives. Seattle’s show begins today and runs through Wednesday, August 25th. The last two shows will be held in Denver –August 28th-31st and in Boston August 29th –September 1st. TY as said when the shows are or they will not take any orders for this Beanies..

8/16/99-Ty announces the retirement of Canyon the cougar.You can now order your Clubby Buddies online at the Beanie Baby Official Club website! After you place your order, it says "You will receive an order confirmation soon." They make it very clear what you may order and provide a total amount.

***BBOC WEBSITE RELAUNCHED!***

The BBOC website has been re-launched. Members now must complete a form and register to use the site. Many of the new features advertised on the site such as Screen Savers and Free Downloads are marked as "coming soon." Another section called, "Beanie Babies," is described as "all new interactive' versions of your favorite Beanie Babies! Members will be able to download them to their PC and share them with other collectors." The Tic-tac-toe game was removed from the member’s area game section and placed on the front page of the site as a demo game. There are now only three games to play once inside the Members area. They are Club House Crossword Puzzle, BBOC Photo Frame Riddles, and Color the Beanie Babies.

8/16/99-I am so sorry, I know I promised you I would get updated this weekend. We had another bad thunderstorm on Friday and my internet-server went out again all weekend. This is the first chance I have had to get on.

I am receiving e-mails that the purchased cash cards are not being accepted to purchase Clubby and Clubby II beanie Buddies. I have also heard from some that they are so I guess it's up to the person you talk to if they will accept it or not. I still have not been able to get through to order mine!

I have been told that you can call the same 888 number to register Gold Card Memebership numbers. (Clubby I Beanie Baby no longer available) If you have purchased a gold memebership kit and want to register the number.

Several Ty Canada dealers report they could not order Ty Plush on their last order (prior to the newsflash announcement about ordering). Some wonder if Ty Plush will be discontinued. Also several reports of Ty retailers dropped from the scene. Other retailers report that Ty must be cleaning house, as they have recently received shipments of some styles retired earlier in the year or late last year. Lots of activity at Ty!

Reports say TY Japan slow getting started for sales of Beanie Babies.

8/13/99-Ty has a NEWS FLASH on their web site today that states, "A very important newsflash will be made August 31, 1999. Because of its content, no orders for September should be anticipated or taken until further notice! Orders for Clubby Buddies will be accepted. Ty Warner."

I still have not been lucky enough to get to place an order for the new Clubbies. I tried for about 2 hours today and still have not gotten to place an order. But some have been luckier than me. They have been able to purchase 1 Clubby and 2 Clubby II's if you are a member of both clubs. I'm still trying.

My internet server told me today that the problems are finally fixed! Things seem to be better today so I am hoping they stay that way and maybe I can finally get my site updated. I will be late updating tomorrow, my sister is getting married and I am having a shower for her so I will be busy most of the day tommorrow.

A lot of you have questions about the new cards. I am hoping on Sunday I will have time to update all the info on the Series 3 Cards.

Japan joins the Beanie Family tomorrow. Beanies go on sale in Japan haven't heard about a exclusive for them yet.

8/11/99-I have received many e-mails wondering if the toll free number for the new Beanie Buddies is working. Yes it is working , but so many are trying to get in at the same time. I have tried for a total of 4 hours now and all I have gotten is a busy signal, a recorded message saying due to the high volume of callers they are unable to help me at this time. And I thought I had finally got through when the message told me to have my membership number and credit card number available. Only to be disconneted after a few seconds. But I do know some people have gotten through and have been able to order as many Buddies as they have membership numbers. SO don't give up, use your redail!

If you want to get the Clubbies in time for christmas you must order them by OCtober 1st. this is going with TY 8-12 weeks for delivery. And Ty is firm on the November 15th deadline!

Spangle has a white face now, many of these new Spangles are showing up.

The new set of BBOC Trading CArds are a very nice set. It is going to be harder to complete a set this time due to the many different types of cards to the set. Retired Cards, Limited Edition Bear Cards, Wild Cards,and many more. I really like this set the best of the 3 sets now out.

8/10/99-Don't have a charge card? Another solution for BBOC Orders * There is a online company called swiftgiftcard that sells "gift" MasterCard's that can be purchased in denominations of $25. The phone number to order is 1-888-794-3828. This might be a solution for those who don't have credit cards or a debit card. You can use the balance of the card anywhere and stores will let you "charge" what is left and pay for any additional balance with cash or a check.

***BBOC III TRADING CARDS!***

8/6/99-Autographed cards have already been found in the 3rd set of trading cards. An autographed "Proof Halo Card" being 1/1 was found by Robert from Oklahoma.

Set #3 has many different cards then the first two set. there is a tear-a bear card in each sealed box, I am told that there are 24 different cards. I will get more info on these cards and post it as soon as i can.

I have received several e-mail that some people can't get into TY's BBOC Club wweb site. I will post the info as soon as it become available ofr the ordering of the new BBOC Clubby Bears.

A St. Louis couple who smuggled counterfeit Beanie Babies® into the U.S.and sold them over the Internet were sentenced. Both were given either supervised release or probation for three years. A $150,000 fine was imposed for mail fraud and they must pay $11,221.77 to fraud victims.

8/4/99-Ty Warnwer posted a message on the cyberboard today stating that the summer show beanies are exclusive, only retailers who ordered at the shows will be able to order them! Once the shows are over there will be no more orders for them.

News on BBOC Club page. Beanie Babies Official Club Members are in for a special treat. Gold members may purchase a Clubby Buddy and Gold or Platinum members may purchase a Clubby II Buddy. The price is $9.99 for each Buddy plus $4.95 shipping. Plus members ordering a Buddy will receive four Collector's Cards as a bonus. These cards are the same design as the Beanie and Buddy cards found in Series III but feature Clubby and Clubby II Beanies and Buddies. From the photo on Ty's website, the names of the Beanies and Buddies appear to be printed in gold!

The long awaited Club news letter is finally posted on the BBOC Club web site. It had been promised in July.

8/1/99-I sorry again for not posting, I'm am looking into a new internet server. I have not been able to get onto the internet due to the same problems that have been going on for 2 months now.
