Our Little Sandy made it out of surgery after about five hours. Her surgeon told us that it would take some time before we would know if she would be able to function as she used to. This was extremely painful , to watch our little girl in the intensive care unit, on life support with so many different kinds of lines and tubes coming from her little body... All we could do was wait by her side until Our Little Sandy woke up.
