AMY'S PAGE

When Amy was born we thought we had a perfect baby.  She was the same age as her cousing John.  We showed them off to the family at the same time after they were born.
After a while we started to notice that Amy was not eating well and She was crying a lot  .  The doctor said she had Gas.

This is a picture of Amy and John when Amy was 3 days old and John was 6 days old

When Amy was 6 months old She was Baptized at St.Albans Church in Beamsville.  We had a big party and lots of people came.  This is a picture of her cake.
One month later, on christmas eve, we found out that our little girl was very sick  she had a rhabdoid tumour of the kidney.  Only it was in her liver.  The doctors operated   but they said it was very bad and that Amy would most likely die.  She spent 28 days in ICU.  The picture below is the first day off of the respirator.

Then she went to the childrens ward.  This picture is of her having a nap.  She never left the hospital.

On February 23 1996 Amy died.  We pray for all other kids with Rhabdoid cancer.  Amy now has a little brother Drew.  And he is very healthy.

here are some links to other pages for kids with Rhabdoid cancer  I will keep adding more as I find them
