You know the story...your parents get the orders and off you go again to a new house! The only one constant among these homes is the awful weird military issue white color of the walls! It is horrible! But what can you do? Your father would kill you for suggesting painting. Can't leave any permanant marks or your mother might have a heartattack! Well have no fear I have some cool solutions guaranteed to leave no permanant marks bigger than a thumbtack hole but destined to make your room memorable and fun! If your up for it come on in here and look around! If you have any cool new ideas send 'em on it and I'll post them myself (as long as they are cool and leave no permanent marks). Well here we go!

Most of the ideas right now are for younger kids, older kids please send me some ideas! Also we STRONGLY remind you to consult you parents and ask permission and help before starting any project like these!

Idea 1- Turn your wall into a big feltboard! We all love those felt boards you buy at the store... Well go to a craft store and buy enough green felt to cover as much of your wall as you wish. (i do from corner to corner) also get some swatches of different colored felt. Using thumbtacks tack the green felt to the wall, stretching it taught. There is your felt board. Cut the other felt into lots of different shapes....moons, stars, circles, blocks, flowers, cars, people and clothes to dress them. Let your imagination run wild. WHen this is done you can stick them on the "Felt board" and play with them like you would colorforms or a regular felt board. Plus it adds color to your room!

Idea 2-Show your love of Disney or other cartoons You can get placemats with all of your favorite disney and other cartoon characters on them for extremely cheap at Target, Walmart, K-mart etc. Using tape, thumbtacks, etc. Use them to make a border for your room! The best thing is they don't tear like posters and they are really brightly colored!

Idea 3-A memory door My daughter has one of these in her room. We took pictures of all of her favorite people.(Grandparents, friends, etc) People she doesn't see a whole lot because of her Daddy's job. We covered her door in these photographs. It was really easy using tape.It adds color plus you can always see your family even when they are far away.

Idea 4-Collage wallGet out the old Magazines around the house and starting collecting and cutting out all the cool pictures you like. Then using tape or the special putty they sell(it leaves no marks on walls and is great to stick things up) start attaching these pictures radomly to a section of wall or your door creating a colorful collage. This can be done with pictures of animals, people, just about anything.

Idea 5-TEEN IDEA!!!!take a sheet (as many as you need to cover your wall, sewn together, plain old cheap white) and spray paint it outside, or dye in the washing machine (check with mom first, please!) the solid color you want. then, you can add any funky, wild patterns or colors or graffiti that you want, TO THE SHEET! hang it, stretched tight, on the wall, and voila! instant art that dad can handle (usually).(Courtesty of DrvnsGrl@aol.com)

Idea 6-A MODEL ROOM hang models from the ceiling. for example, i have a friend who's son is BIG into planes. so take the models and tack them by string to the ceiling. thumbtack holes, no big deal. two cautions: make sure the string is tied SECURELY to the plane - have mom and dad help. and, use only relatively lightweight items. we don't want anything heavy falling on our babies!.(Courtesty of DrvnsGrl@aol.com)

Idea 7-Make a FOX HOLEcourse, if you ask dad, he'd say you could hang cammie material and netting and pretend your room is a foxhole . . .(Courtesty of DrvnsGrl@aol.com)
