Congratulations! You have worked very hard on your assignments. Now it is time for fun. Read the story Capboppy by Bill Peet. Imagine having a capybara for a pet. Where would you put it? How would you feed it? How would it get its exercise? I would like you to imagine what it would be like to have the animal you researched as a pet.

Write a short story to share with your Kindergarten Reading Buddies. Remember to put in a few facts and a lot of imagination. You may use your journal to write the story.

Draw at least one picture of a scene from your story to include in your published story. The kindergarten children are going to enjoy hearing your story.
