April 21st, 1977 -- „Annie – A New Musical” opens on Broadway
June 18th, 1982 -- The movie „Annie” is released to movie theaters
Late January/Early February , 1987 -- The movie „Annie” is shown in Hungarian movie theaters, in a subtitled version, which is „just swell” for kids
December, 31st, 1992 -- The movie „Annie” is shown on MTV1 (Magyar televízió/Hungarian television channel one, not to be confused with Music Television) with mono dubbing, Endre views it for the first film.
May 8th, 2001 – The movie „Annie” is released on DVD in Hungary, in a subtitled version, which is „just swell” for kids, Endre buys it in July, soon becomes obsessed
December, 26th, 2001 – The movie „Annie” is shown on RTL Klub, featuring a brand-new dubbed version recorded in stereo, Endre missed the first half hour, and has been searching for this particular version ever since (hint, hint!)
2005 – Endre obtains the mono dubbed version, and synchs it up with the NTSC DVD
In the Unforseeable Future – The movie „Annie” gets released on Blu-Ray, painstakingly restored from the original 35mm negative, with its soundtrack presented in 6-channel PCM, restored from the original 6-track Dolby magnetic elements!!!
