Altered sound mix on The Tender Trap (1955)
Original 4-track magnetic stereo sound mix,
as mixed down to 2-channel stereo on the 1992 laser disc
Re-mixed 5.1 audio on the 2008 DVD, mixed down to
2-channel stereo by me
In the original mix, vocals are directional. In the new 5.1 mix, they are locked to the center. Mr. Endre doesn’t approve of this kind of modernization, especially when it takes away from the fun.
(Note: The clip sourced from DVD has out of sync audio, at least on my computer. It has to do with the way it was created, and the certain lameness of Mr. Endre, it is dead-on sync on the DVD!)
