Fibromyalgia:
Information and Resources
Do a Google search on fibromyalgia, and you'll come up with something over 2.7 MILLION hits. Intimidating, isn't it?! And if you are brain-fogged, exhausted, and in pain, it's next to impossible to even boot the computer, much less attempt to locate net-based resources.

I have been living with fibromyalgia since at least 1995, although I suspect it has been much longer, perhaps even as far back as childhood. I understand the emotions that come with the package. If it was as easy as taking a vitamin or going to a gym, *none* of us would have this monster sucking the life out of us.

Let me make it very clear that I do not have any secret cure to sell. I cannot give you any specfic medical advice, but I can pass along information that you may wish to discuss with your physician. I can work with you and your body to attempt to provide some degree of comfort. I can share what has (and has not) helped me, although it may not be the same in your case. I understand that massage for a person with fibro is not the same as for a "normal" person -- digging in bones-deep and claiming, "but this will help you", is just flat out ignorant.

I will also not tell you that the medications you take are some kind of "chemical poison" because they come from the "Big Pharma Cartel" in conspiracy with the entire Western medical establishment, etc, etc, etc. I believe in striking a balance between what we know as conventional medicine and in CAM modalities (complementary and alternative medicine).

And of course, I am pretty good at making kleenex appear out of thin air!

Please use and enjoy the links. As I find sites that provide current, sound information, I add them. I DO NOT link to sites that try to sell you yet another bottle of supplements. (If you have more than 6 dusty vitamin/supplement bottles in your cabinet, you may have fibromyalgia!)
