ETC School of Musical Arts is a non profit organization funded mainly through the fund raising efforts of our members and supporters. Without the fund raising activities, it would be very difficult, if not prohibitively expensive, to immerse our children in the wonderful musical and social education they receive from this school and show choir.
Our fundraisng efforts not only help pay the bills, but as importantly, help parents fund their student's tuition and travel expenses.
We have several fund raisers that split the proceeds between ETC and the student's personal account - a portion of the proceeds are deposited into each student's personal account that can then be used by a parent or guardian to offset travel expenses, costume fees, and tuition.
Other fund raisers go directly to the school's operating fund, which in turn helps to keep your overall tuition as low as possible.
Last, but not least, meet new friends - we are a fun group of parents that enjoy entertainment and fun!! We do put the "fun' in fund raising!!!
What Are The Fund Raising Opportunities?
We start in May with running concession stands at Blossom Music Center for the whole Blossom season. The 2008 season starts with Eric Clapton on Friday May 30th and continues into the fall. This fund raiser allows a parent to bank 75% of the gross into the child's 'personal account' and ETC keeps the other 25%. We work on a percentage of sales basis. 100% of all tips go towards your student's personal accounts. The more we sell, the more we make. Work one concert, work them all! Come have some fun, hear some good music, and make some money!
In July, we start planning for the Fall Show and the Spring Gala. All parents and children are asked to secure an advertiser (or two!) for the program to help offset the printing cost of the program. All advertisment funds are split 50/50 with ETC and your student's personal account. The more advertisers you get, the more you'll make!
In late July & early August, we valet park cars at the Bridgestone Invitational World Golf Championship at Firestone Country Club. Firestone pays ETC a fee to our operating fund for providing responsible adults to park the cars, and 100% of tips received are split between all of our volunteer help and deposited into your student's personal account. Come see Tiger and his cohorts as we are located right next to the practice green! You may just get to drive an exotic car or two as well!
In late summer or early fall, we have the ETC & Friends Golf Classic. The 2008 Classic is on Saturday October 4th. The entry fees for this fund raiser go to ETC. We also have a Hole Sponsorship fund raiser within this outing that provides a 50/50 split of proceeds to ETC and your student's personal account. We actively solicit businesses for door prizes and 'goodie bag' items so each golfer leaves with a door prize and a token of our appreciation after eating their steak lunch. We also have snacks and beverages for the golfers on the course and at the turn. Secure a prize, gather up your friends to golf, or come out the day of to volunteer - everyone can help in some way!
In early spring we have our Night at the Races & Silent Auction fund raiser. A tasty dinner is also provided at this evening event. This year's event is On March 13, 2009. All of the funds raised here go to ETC. We need all families to secure donations for the silent auction, sell horses for each race (with a chance to win big buck$), as well as sell dinner tickets (by the table if you can) to friends, neighbors, and relatives. The Night at the Races not only raises much needed funds for the school, it is a great way to meet all of the other parents, and it is an absolute blast! Click here for info.
