Our professional staff is made up of educators from Northeast Ohio who dedicate their talent and efforts to developing the choral sound that has long been a trademark of ETC. The added facet of ETC is the incorporation of choreography with the singing. Singing is still our first priority, but dance adds that special excitement to every performance and really makes our groups shine!
Executive Director - Robert Heid
As co-founder of ETC in 1977, Bob has been directly involved in every aspect of its development. As a graduate of Kent State University, retired school teacher, experienced producer, and father of two ETC Alumni, the organization has been, and continues to be, a major part of his adult life.
Associate Director - Henry Zuchegno
An ETC parent veteran, Henry, the father of ETC Alumni, has continued his involvement, though his children have grown and are no longer involved the show choirs.
Musical Director (Main Street) Cheryl Boigegrain
Cheryl directs the Main Street Singers and has been a choral director in the Akron Public Schools for over twenty years. She received both her Bachelors and Masters degrees from the University of Akron and was named a Distinguished Alumna from its School of Music.
Musical Director (All American & New Generation) Carolyn Bagley
Carolyn received her B.A. in Music Education from Hiram College and has been teaching private lessons in voice, cello and piano for over 10 years. She has directed and served as musical director for musicals in both public school and community theater productions. She also serves as worship accompanist and bell choir director for First Christian Church in Kent, OH. Carolyn has recently written and played for an independent film score. She has also recorded and performed with Steve McClain, a local singer/songwriter. Carolyn has served as director of the All Americans since 2005 and the New Generation Singers since 2007. Choreographer (All American, Main St., & New Gen) Tara Tober
After completing her degree from Point Park University in Pittsburgh, Tara has been on the move choreographing both show choirs and musicals throughout the United States. As an ETC alumi, it has been great to have Tara back working with our children. Tara is also available for private lessons (for children & adults!) at our studio - by appointment. Combo Director (All Americans) Andrew Schifano
Andrew is our newest staff member, joining us for the 2008-2009 season. A graduate of Ellet High School in Akron, and The University of Akron, School of Fine and Applied Arts, Andrew comes to us with a level of enthusiasm and professionalism we welcome.
