John Linville Craft (1832-1905) and Nancy Back Craft (1840-1923). They were originally from Breathitt County, Kentucky. John was the son of John Wilhelm Craft and Susanna Hagins Craft. Nancy was the daughter of Joseph Back and Permelia Hogg Back. They are buried at the Johnston Cemetery just off Dan Ridge Road in Menifee County. In the late 1800s so many families from Breathitt County settled around the Dan Ridge area that it was referred to as "Young Breathitt." John is listed as First Lieutenant with the 13th (Caudill's) Kentucky Calvary. |

Joseph Lee Back and Mary Jane McIntosh child is William Pearl Back, taken about 1909. Joseph Lee Back was a second cousin of James Thomas Back. He died in 1935 . |
