ReikiSchool International
Promoting the Original Teachings of Mikao
Usui
of the Japanese Gakkai School
-----------------------------------------------------------
Dear Reiki Masters/Teachers
and Students
I am writing to you because I have exciting
news about the practice of
Reiki!
I am writing to let you know about
a training course that is now available
throughout Europe. The subject of
the course is the form of Reiki that is
practised by the Usui Reiki Ryoho
Gakkai in Japan (Mikao Usui’s Reiki
Association), whose members have
preserved the form of Reiki that Mikao Usui
established in the 1920s. ‘The
Gakkai’ have continued to teach and practice
Reiki in its original form, and
have remained unaffected by the great
explosion of Reiki in the West and all
the changes and modifications that
this has brought. Details of these Usui
Reiki techniques have only emerged
in the West in the last six months, and
they bring Western Reiki into a new
and exciting phase, by taking it back to
its roots! Below I have listed the
main subjects that are taught in the
ReikiSchool International "Advanced
Practitioner Course", and some other
background information about the
origins of the information that will be
presented.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
The
Reiki "ADVANCED PRACTITIONER COURSE"
The Reiki "ADVANCED MASTER
TRAINING"
-------------------------------------------------------------------
It was with the publication of books like ‘Reiki Fire’ by Frank Arjava
Petter (a Western Reiki Master who lives in Japan) that the Western Reiki
community came to realise that the Reiki that was practised in Japan
differed greatly from what was being taught in the West. Petter has
interviewed and obtained information from Usui Reiki Ryoho Gakkai members,
and has studied other traditional Usui Reiki streams in Japan. He and his
partner Chetna Koyabashi are working hard to piece together a coherent view
of how Reiki is practised by the Gakkai, an organisation that has preserved
the form of Reiki set down by Mikao Usui. It is now clear that there are a
number of vital and fundamental techniques, necessary for the more effective
practice of Reiki, that have not survived in the West in any sort of
coherent form.
Hiroshi Doi Sensei
While this research has taken us quite some way along the road
to a better
understanding of Japanese Reiki, he does not have all the story.
Fortunately
a man called Hiroshi Doi, a Reiki Master trainee of the Usui
Reiki Ryoho
Gakkai in Japan, has filled many of the gaps in Petter’s
research. Doi
presented a seminar in Vancouver last Autumn where he unveiled
a whole raft
of traditional techniques that have not survived in the West,
or were never
taught in the West in any sort of coherent form. These
teachings clarify and
expand upon the work that has been begun by Petter,
with the important
difference that Doi is speaking as a member of the
Gakkai, from within
Usui's Reiki Association, not as a ‘foreigner’ trying to
obtain information
from the outside. Only a few people from Europe attended
that seminar in
Vancouver, and I am lucky enough to have benefited from this
knowledge. The
information presented on the course comes mostly from Hiroshi
Doi, with
added explanations from Petter if this is useful.
While
the Western forms of Reiki have had many successes and have
transformed
people’s lives in many wonderful ways, there is something
missing, and that
is the feeling of a lot of people I talk to. Many of the
missing pieces have
now been revealed to us through Doi, Petter and
Koyabashi, and are taught on
this course.

WHAT IS THE COURSE
ABOUT ?
---------------------------------------
Japanese Reiki uses a
structured system to enhance a person’s ability as a
Reiki channel and to
develop and enhance a person’s intuitive abilities.
This is done through
practising a series of energy exercises every day,
practising intuitive
techniques, and receiving regular spiritual
‘empowerments’. The practice of
what I like to call 'real' Reiki is based on
these three areas:
(1)
Hatsurei Ho (energy exercises)
(2) Reiji Ho and Byosen (intuitive
techniques)
(3) Reiju (spiritual empowerments)
When taken together
these three fundamentals can transform a practitioner’s
abilities if the
individual is prepared to commit themselves to consistent
and regular
practice. These techniques represent Reiki as it is practised in
Japan, in
its traditional form, and are the essence of Usui Reiki.
----------------
Hatsurei Ho
----------------
This is a series of energy exercises
and visualisations designed to
strengthen and purify your Reiki. They are
intended to be carried out twice
daily for about 10 minutes each time. They
feel wonderful. The stages are as
follows: Kenyoku, Connecting to Reiki,
Joshin Kokkyu Ho, Gassho, and Seishin
Toitsu
-------------------------
Reiji Ho and Byosen
--------------------------
These are two related
techniques designed to develop profound intuitive
abilities. Regular
practice of these techniques, and regular Reiju
empowerments, allow you to
gain deeper insights into your patients’
conditions and problems. They can
allow you to detect disease in the body
either based on the sensations you
experience in your hands, or through
intuitively knowing or seeing what the
problem is.
-------
Reiju
-------
This is the third part of the
puzzle that allows the Reiji Ho or Byosen
abilities to develop fully. Reiju
empowerments, carried out on an individual
on a regular basis, enhance the
Reiji or Byosen ability and are designed to
enhance the spiritual
development of the individual. They are not just
mini-attunements. The Reiju
method is taught to any Reiki Masters who attend
this course, and is so
simple when compared to Western-style attunements.
----------------------------------
Other areas to be covered
-----------------------------------
Koki Ho (healing with the eyes)
Gyoshi Ho (healing with the breath)
‘Blood Exchange’ techniques (used to
de-tox a patient through stimulating
meridians)
Reiki mawashi (Japanese
Reiki circle)
Seiheki Chiryo ( a mental reprogramming technique)
Jaki
kili joka ho (a technique for the purification of objects)
Aho usaki ho (a
hand-position used to intensify and focus Reiki energy)
Shashin Chiryo
(distant healing using symbolic representations)
The comprehensive
course manual deals with all the above areas, includes a
translation of Dr
Hayashi’s manual, excerpts from Mikao Usui’s notes, and a
detailed and
up-to-date history of
Reiki.
Because we are members of the BFR
(Association of the free Reiki Masters),
we offer this courses available for everyone.
The first and second Usui Gakkai degree we offer
on an two day´s workshop.
Students have to be trained allready in the
second Reiki degree of the western or eastern
Reiki lineage.
Master training will allso take two day´s.

HOW TO ARRANGE A TRAINING COURSE IN YOUR COUNTRY
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am happy to travel to any European country to run this course, and for
this to happen I will need someone to co-ordinate things for me in each
country. The course organiser will agree a date with me, get together a
group of at least 11 other people to come on the course, and provide
somewhere for the course to be run (for example, their home). I can provide
promotional materials if that would be helpful. The course organiser will
attend the course at no charge. We will need one treatment table for every 4
people, so a group of 12 people will require 3 portable treatment couches.
One table for every three people would be better, though.
The course
organiser will collect deposits of DM 150.- from each person
attending, and
will send these to me in advance (this will pay for the
course manuals to be
printed and will cover my travel costs). The balance of
the cost can be paid
to me on the day of the course.
The course can be presented in the
English, German or French language, and
the comprehensive course manual is
written in English.
Translations into German are available and the
translations into French are ongoing.
If you would like
to organise a course in your country, please telephone me
on the number
given at the bottom of this message, or e-mail me at the
address given
below.
If you are not interested in this course (or even if you are!), I
would be
grateful if you could forward this message to any Reiki friends or
colleagues you think might be interested.
With best wishes to you,
Jay Arjan Falk (Germany)
Gertrud Haid
(Austria)
