In March 1995, Turkish troops crossed the border to Northern Iraq to raid PKK terrorist camps. The operation is called ''Operation Steel''. Here it shows Blue Berets exploring a field mine on the road. They carry standart Turkish Army rifles, G-3. The red/white stripe on the left arm shows they are friendly forces, because some terrorists wear similar uniforms. The man in different clothing with an AK-47 is a friendly kurdisch villager. They know the region well and are good shooters. All figures are Dragon, ground is modelling clay. |
