a mechanical bull
oompa-woompas

working is not a city in china
so now (and last week) until september i'm working 62 hours a week.  it sucks.  how do i do it?  a lot of caffine.  and a lot of fucking weed nips... jk.  which kind of brings me to my first day at e.d.s. > on my first day i was shown my cubical and the stuff i'd be doing and then they left me to it.  so i'm working for a couple of hours when some lady comes up to my cubical stops and says, "what the hell, they keep putting people in my cubical and moving me..."  milton from office space comes to mind.

26 > 21:21 (monday) all is well that ends well well well well well well well well well

because i heard a fly
here is some good music that i've come across recently
the decemberists | the get up kids | the books | mirah | mclusky | olivia tremor control
asobi seksu | fuck | the polyphonic spree

the three month job
i just got a data entry job at eds in edina.  entering numbers in to a program for eight hours a day is exciting, but not really.  but i am allowed to listen to music all day on my discman so thats pretty sweet.  it's also a job with regular hours (7:00-3:30 monday-friday), another plus despite how early it is.  besides the job knocking my whole sleeping pattern out of whack the only drawback is that i still work at the camp on fridays, saturdays and sundays which results in working 60+ hours a week.

holly give me some of your english loving
last night i dreamt that i went to go see jack and holly at their house (from the white stripes) and i found out that holly was pregnant with jack's baby.  i guess i've been listening to white elephant too much lately.

19 > 23:43 (monday) i'll never see them again if i squeel to the cops so i just go oh...

today is the day for laughing and for singing
if you've heard this song you'd know i'm being sarcastic.  cause there is no design for life, there's no devil's haircut in my mind, there is not a wonderwall to climb or step around.  but things are alright, i might have a job be the end of the week (god willing) and softball is still kickin (until the end of the month).  however things still seem bland.

recent films
the three amigos - a good flick
the big lebowski - always funny.  it ranks high on my top comedies list
underworld (unrated extended cut) - what's better than a hot vampire chick running around in tight leather?  a hot vampire chick running around in tight leather with guns.

in music

radiohead: hail to the thief
death cab for cutie:
something about airplanes
unkle:
psyence fiction
lost highway soundtrack
modest mouse:

bastille day
ah yes, we don't celebrate bastille day but in other news...
premiership midsummer market report | pitchfork's review of modest mouse's new album

oh blues
appearently people don't like everton manager david moyes... as a result of this players are leaving everton faster than a swift kick to the groin.  alexanderson, unsworth and radzinski are gone and it looks as though rooney and gravensen will be gone by the start of the season.  things look grim for everton and they may be joining the fight not to be relegated this season along with the three newcomers crystal palace, norwich city, and west bromwich albion.  despite this disapointing news it looks as though middlesbrough (with the acquisition of hasselbaink and viduka) and manchester united (with the acquisition of alan smith and possibly wayne rooney) will have an exciting year ahead of them.  i will also be keeping an eye on portsmouth just to see if radzinski does anything there.  for more visit the usual: premierleague.com | bbc sport

la musica
today ripped some music into my comp so i could make a compelation cd that rocks.  this brought me to organizing my cd's into what has priority in my case logic for the car, what will be a temp pile for my car, and what gets left behind in my room.  it was exciting but i'll spare you the details of who got cut and who got promoted.
An Hong as depicted by co-worker Jesus Estrada
glass eyes and the wooden teeth
i've been in and out of doctor's/dentist's offices a lot over the past two weeks.  it's annoying and consuming precious time i could be using to do something but most likely nothing.

odds and ends
above is a picture somebody at work drew.  i liked it so much i kept it... then later posted... here...on my page... which you are looking at now.  it's probably the best picture of me i've ever seen.  on a completely different note... girls... why can't i ever come up with anything good to say?  i guess i could say what one of my friends says... "hey, whatcha doing there?.. <state what they are doing here>?"  an example of this would be: "hey, whatcha doing there?... riding a bike?"  i find it humorous, stateing the obvious and all.  i guess it's one of those, 'it's so stupid it's funny' things... and isn't that what really matters?... my amusement?  yeah... so how about those minnesota twins?

the fourth
for the fourth of july i hung out with kt and a bunch of her friends which ended up being some people i kind of already knew from work.  it was just the usual stuff, barbeque, light fireworks, and go see fireworks.  for the most part, i wasn't very impressed with the fireworks display this year but everything else was fine.
