speaking of which...
as i was walking through the hallways at uni i saw a sign on the wall that said our visiting speaker this year is going to be lavar burton.  i'll give the guy props for being in the best star trek series ever, thats right, and we all know that a reading rainbow was sweet... but i remember reading a list of possible speakers earlier this year which included frank avaingue... or however you spell it, that guy leonardo dicaprio's character was based on in catch me if you can...  i guess my question is how did we get to lavar burton?  nevertheless i'm curious as to what he has to say but is it really worth the possiblity of being trampled on by a bunch of trekkies?...

running down a dream like tom petty
i started running again and have a pretty good routine.  my route took me down washington ave, to college st, to minnesota ave, and then back up on elm st.  i recently decided to stop running on elm st because a golden retriever decided to chase be for a half a block last week so now i go a block further to pine st.  stupid dog.

things to come
my bro chieu is coming back for a week from saint louis.  i'm heading out to los angeles on monday for a week.  i'm gonna form a rock band and become the next d!

georgia
named after king george ii.  i set out two saturdays ago (the sixth) for savannah via atlanta.  my prediction of loneliness easied up a bit when i hit the bar at the msp int'l with somebody from the group at no sooner than 8:30am.  by the end of the first day i began to feel comfortable with all the people in our group, twelve people that is.  in savannah, the sea islands, and later atlanta i think we all got a feel for cultural, physical, economic, and tourism geography.  but if geography was our first initiative than the drink followed closely behind it, well with the people i hung out the most with.  so the trip wasn't quite as bad as i thought it would be and actually turned out to be enjoyable and included some halarious mishaps such as kerry taking a super bouncy ball to the groin which put him on the ground for a good five minutes while the rest of us laughed heavily.

done
i just finished three two page exam essays in 80 minutes.  what worries me is that i was like the fifth person to leave out of a class of close to 40 people.  i'm usually one of the last to leave.

i'm too cynical, i'm just sitting here, i'm just wasting my time

down the river
'mum and me' (well me for the most part... my things that is) will be moving into a new place in shakopee on friday.  going through all my things and packing them up gave me flashbacks of my childhood... they found me curled up and passed out in the corner... but really... it kind of feels like i'm throwing away the past when i throw out most of my things... oh well.  when my memory fails me there will be nothing left of my past.  such is life in russia... i mean the united states... :)
