capturing the best times i've ever had

much like a built to spill song says,  i can't remember exactly which one it is right now... maybe i'm trying to recapture the best times i've ever had by trying to return to london.  however if i did it would be like a sequil, that is, it would have some of the main characters (me, ian, and london as the back drop) but it would be missing several important characters (nearly everyone from fall 2002) and a good plot (like indiana jones and the temple of doom).  nevertheless, it would be a good episode even if it wasn't as good as episodes one and three (indian jones, die hard)... which would mean that episode three would be in the coming and would be pretty decent, that is unless it were like the greese series which would suck... but it's not because i'm still playing me... anyhoo, i haven't heard anything from the places i've applied to so i am and remain pestimistic.  however some good times should be with andreas and steve over these next couple of days as i am heading out on my wisconsin death trip tomorrow (technically today
).

top five

ugly casanova: sharpen you teeth
radiohead: hail to the thief
modest mouse: building nothing out of something
death cab for cutie: something about airplanes
neutral milk hotel: aeroplane over the sea
...thats right i hardly ever listen to anything new... i just listen to the same old stuff, work, drink, and play fifa 2004... this is my life and its ending one minute at a tim

14 > 1:33 (friday) sad song, last dance and no one knew who the band was and herny you dance like a wooden indian

one girl. one dream. one day it happen.

i hope fiona reads this because she might be the only one who gets the title here and might get a laugh out of it.  it has been a bit odd who i have talked to over the phone in the past week or so, but odd in a good way as in pleasently surprised.  but anyway i would like to give some props out to those people, as i always do, them being anne rasmussen, steve pease, and andreas transo (also known as the good doctor).  i can't help but think of the good times we had, i miss those chums.  and fiona, i miss you too, along with the skillie
.

9 > sunday > 1:56 mother's day

polyethylene (bm, a, g, d, em, f#m)
disjointed scare ourselves of all that you want to be
just got paid and now your leaving how long should you be
if i get scared i'll just call you
and i will always love you for all that you'll always be
...you'll always be
[
there are different interpetations of the song but this is what i remember... who the hell knows what thom is ever saying though... the point to his posting, my somber mood]

passing on the torch
at camp snoopy, which i still regetably work at, fellow team lead sarah has put in her two weeks notice and kellin has just been hired as our newest team lead.  although kellin is a good girl (and she knew the reason why, so when she went into the bathroom she would never come outside...) can i just let sarah show me up by quiting before me?  not that that is my primary reason for not being there... i mean i've wanted a new job for something like three years now but just haven't done so because of various reasons... so anyway after having a conversation with john bjorn hoversten (aka primetime, toomuchsexyforu, and/or jivin john h bomb) i have decide to take the middle road which includes the following... maintaining my part-time status by continuing to work fri, sat, sundays at the camp, while also whoring myself out to a temp agency during the week.  this way i can ensure myself a reliable sourse of income and also maintain my love-hate relationship with my current employer.  done and done.  (its amazing what bass and heineken can contribute to a situation).

lady picture show
here are some good flicks i've seen lately... the last samuri, michael collins, amelie, and love actually.  love actually, being a romantic comedy, was actually really good... but i'm a sucker for those types of movies i guess... i also enjoy long walks on the beach, conversations over a cup of tea, and watching the sun rise after staying up all night (if i haven't anything to do the next morning)....

put your hand down my pants and i'll bet you'll feel nuts
i've always wanted to use that as a subject title but have never had a reason to

6 > thursday > 18:33

the week in review
well i just took my last final for this year... i'm not sure how i feel about that yet.  i still have yet to hear back from my study abroad program for this fall which leaves me disappointed and pestimistic.  on the other hand my london internship program people have keep in contact with me telling me what they have and haven't recieved.

i wish i was a footballer
last week i got my everton kit in the post.  i decided to get gravensen instead of rooney but both are good.  despite their disappointing play recently i'm still a fan.  in fifa 2004, which i rented this week, i'm leading the premiership with them... the game rocks.  since monday i've played nearly 30 matches and my left thumb is sore as all hell.

the love you take is equal to the love you make
tonight i think i'll catch up with good friends stella artois and/or carlsburg and ponder all the shit that goes down in city hall (i've got the feeling we should fuck shit up, we should fucking start a riot...)
