Lesson 8

On this day, we played a game called "In other words."
The game wasn't actually a game at all.  It was just a series of "If...would..." questions.
The grammar was the same as the grammar in lesson 7.

Homework (Very small homeowork)

I got the feeling that some students didn't fully understand this assignment, so let me repeat what I told you on Friday afternoon:

Part One:
Enter the
student forum (it's easy, just go to the first page of this site, click on the forum link, and follow the instructions).  You can register at this time or write your message anonymously, it doesn't matter.

When you are in the forum, enter the "What's happening" section, click on "new topic" and type any
indirect question for your classmate.

For example,
"Could you tell me if you have a girlfriend?"
Or,
"Is it OK if I ask where you live?"
(Don't just copy these questions.  Try to think of an original question.)

And make sure you include
your name in the message.

Do you follow me so far?

You have to do this by
Monday, April 14.

Part Two:
Check the forum again after Monday.  Find the question that your classmate asked you, and
answer it.

You have to do this by
Friday, April 18.

I think that's easy enough.

[This assignment is not worth a lot of points, so don't get stressed about it.  My main goal is just to get you to enter the forum and get used to using it.  If you have any problems using the forum, or if you become confused, we can talk about it on Monday (the 14th).  OK?]
