Ford and Peggy Baker
Missionaries to England

England,
The Birthplace of The Modern Missionary Movement

From the history of England we have William Carey, the father of modern missions; Charles Haddon Spurgeon, the prince of preachers; Charles Wesley, Adonirom Judson and many more giants of the faith. Yet, today, England itself is in need of receiving missionaries. Only 2% of British people attend Church faithfully.
The people of England are in great darkness. The LORD has purposed, "To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace." (Luke 1:79)
In the towns and villages of England, missionaries from our Baptist churches are preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ, and establishing churches. This is the village hall of Groby, England where meetings are currently being held by Ford Baker, our missionary to the people of England.
Here is missionary Baker with the church in Groby. We pray that God will use the preaching of the gospel in Groby to save the souls of many in this city and establish this church for His glory that He might find it faithful when He returns.
Serving Christ in England is done the same as it is here in America. Every opportunity is used to win people to Christ. Here we see Brother Baker with children which have been picked up in the surrounding neighborhoods. They are getting Saved and growing in grace, workmen that needeth not to be ashamed. (2 Tim 2:15) Pray for the Bakers as they seek to establish an independent, fundamental, Bible-believing, Baptist church in Groby, England.
