Spelling Hints

Do not use an apostrophe with plural nouns!
Apostrophes are used in only two instances: with possessives (that doll is my sister's), and with contractions where a letter has been left out (I didn't want to go.)
If the word does not end in the letter s, add 's.  If the word does end in s, add just the apostrophe.

**There are two exceptions!
The word whose is possessive; the word who's means who is.

The word its is possessive. The word it's means it is.

Whose clothes are on the floor?

Who's going to pick up this mess?
It's my new car.
I love
its interior.

Learn these rules and you will almost always use the apostrophe correctly!
