| Paul Kilbane and Jimmy King presented the third ever EWE PPV Breaking Point! The pair mentioned that after last week's Meltdown Ozzy Mayhem was taken to hospital with severe rib injuries after the brutal attack by Sparxx. As a result management had suspended Sparxx there for he would not be at the PPV. The duo then spoke about the matches going down on the PPV including the Tag team championship battle royal, Rage vs. Chris Taylor for the cruiserweight championship, Mikey Wreckage defending his hardcore title against Plague and GBH defending the heavyweight championship against Steve Farrell. They also asked the question of whether Dan Dreamer, Roadkill and John Johnson would show up after what went down on Final Hour. Tag Team Championship five team Battle Royal Teams included - X-Con & Crowcain, Alexander A Loveless & Plague, Chris Taylor & Mikey Wreckage, Ian Loveless & Ed of Security, Richard Carey & Havoc This was an over the top rope battle royal where when a competitor was eliminated his partner was automatically eliminated. The match kicked off in a mass brawl with the unlikely duo of Alexander Loveless and Plague pounding down on X-Con. Carey and Havoc were the first ever EWE tag team champions and had their sights on getting the belts back. Havoc used his power and beat down on Ed of Security while Carey was suplexed by Wreckage. Against the odds the team representing the Dark Carnival were the first eliminated as Alexander Loveless blocked a wheelbarrow bulldog from Carey and just threw him over the top. General Manager Ian Loveless left a lot of his dirty work to his sidekick Ed Of Security, but that did not last long as Alexander Loveless then kicked Ed over the top rope. However Sparxx's evil manager did not last much longer as Commissioner X-Con super kicked him over the top rope leaving just two teams left. Chris Taylor was down leaving Crowcain and X-Con beating on his partner Wreckage. Wreckage hit back though and pounded Crows and Cons heads together. But then Chris Taylor ran at X-Con and Crowcain only for them to move leaving Taylor connecting with Wreckage sending them both over the top rope. Crowcain and X-Con were crowned the new EWE tag team champions and celebrated in true style with a dance. Winners - X-Con & Crowcain Richard Carey Vs. Alexander A Loveless This match had just been added and it was a chance for Richard Carey to gain revenge on one of the guys who put his teammate Ozzy Mayhem out of action. The two locked up and Carey locked Loveless in a wristlock and moments later clobbered him across the back to take him down. The evil Loveless hit back though as he over powered young Carey, he lifted Carey's leg up and smashed his knee down in to the ground. Carey struggled up but Loveless took him right back down with a chop block and locked in a single legged Boston crab. The chance of revenge meant so much to Carey he just would not tap out and kept fighting back. Carey's comebacks were brief as Loveless had a clear size advantage and used that in his favour. A turning point in this match was when Loveless accidentally clothes lined referee Jay Gonzo taking him out of action for a few minutes. The two brawled on the outside and Carey then hit a running Swanton, the fight then moved over to a ditch full of nettles which Loveless ended up getting thrown in to. Carey then placed a ladder over the ditch and climbed up to the top where he then connected with a perfect frog splash. The two-struggled back to the ring in time for Gonzo getting up, Loveless lifted Carey up on his shoulders and connected with a TKO but it wasn't enough to keep Carey down. The manager of Sparxx then climbed the ladder but Carey was up and was right behind him climbing the ladder also. Carey showed his determination and hit an RKO from on the ladders, he then pinned Loveless and walked away with a victory. Winner - Richard Carey (pinfall) Backstage GM Ian Loveless approached Danny Dreamer and told him that because he was at the PPV he was going to make use of him and put him in a match. Dreamer asked what the match was and Loveless said it was a triple threat match. Dreamer then asked who was in the match as Ian Loveless then stepped aside and Roadkill and John Johnson walked up to Dreamer. Roadkill accused Dreamer of selling out on ECW and now selling out on NLW by joining EWE. Danny Dreamer had heard enough and just pounced on Roadkill as he started to beat down on him, he then had to be pulled off by Ed of Security and re strained as Roady just watched with a grin on his face. Mikey Wreckage © Vs. Plague <EWE Hardcore Championship Match> No one thought that Wreckage would be walking in to this match the hardcore champion but he was and Plague had a fight on his hands if he was to get the title back. They locked up and Plague swept Wreckage's legs away with a swift kick and then repeatedly kicked the hardcore champion in the head. Wreckage got to his feet and the two backed away from each other before locking up once again, Plague again took Wreckage down but let him get up to his feet once again. The match started very technical but Wreckage then brought a steel tray in the ring area and hit Plague with it a few times. The match went back and fourth and it wasn't long before the two ended up fighting away from the ring area. Plague lifted Wreckage up and then put him threw half a table with a michinoku driver. With the half of the table Plague simply launched it over the hardcore champion's head. It did not take long for Wreckage to counter back with offence of his own as he then proceeded to snap suplex Plague on to a pair of ladders. The challenger then hurt himself even more as his missed connecting with a flip plancha resulting in him ending up in a ditch. They brawled around the arena and ended up on a patch of concrete where wreckage tipped out a bottle of thumb tacs all over the concrete floor. Wreckage then dragged Plague down to the concrete floor on to the thumb tacs with impact. The brutal battle went on and Plague hip tossed Wreckage on to a wooden crate as they entered X-Con's office. Plague then ran at Wreckage but the champion countered and put Plague threw X-Con's desk with a spine buster. Another walk about followed but this time they ended up at the stack of wooden crates, which were then set on fire as Plague launched Wreckage up on to his shoulders. In a shocking and surprising display, Plague sent Wreckage in to the fire with his finishing move the end of days (DVD). Wreckage rolled off the crates and was on fire! Plague took advantage and pinned him becoming the EWE Hardcore champion for the second time. Winner - Plague (pinfall) John Johnson Vs. Danny Dreamer Vs. Roadkill <Triple Threat Match> The crowd were firmly behind Dreamer but the match surprisingly started off with Roadkill knocking his ex best friend John Johnson to the floor. Dreamer then unloaded with a series of right hands on Roadkill but was soon after taken down with a double clothesline from the two NLW founders. This match moved at a fast pace and was very evenly matched but the most tension in it seemed to be between Roadkill and Dreamer whose rivalry goes way back. Dreamer attempted to take Johnson out of the equation early on as he delivered a t-bone suplex, which sent Johnson squirming to the outside. Roady came close to a three count over dreamer after connecting with a modified blue thunder bomb, Roady continued his domination over Dreamer with a well-timed suplex but he was then hit by Johnson. Dreamer cleared Johnson out of the ring once again this time with a high drop kick to the face. Then Dreamer proceeded to nearly break Roadkill's neck as he hit a sick half nelson suplex. The work on the neck continued later in the match as Dreamer delivered a harsh looking pulling piledriver on Roadkill while standing on the crates. After Dreamer hit a sit out spinebuster on Roady, Johnson rushed back in the ring and placed his foot over the fallen wrestler but did not quite get a three count. The action went on and Roadkill had been busted open but still nearly came close to the win as he pinned Johnson from a bridging northern lights suplex, Roadkill had the same fate though as Dreamer nearly beat him with a northern lights suplex. Danny D took a lot out of himself in the match as he pulled off a big high risk by climbing the goal structure and cross bodying Roadkill and Johnson from it. The three competitors struggled to get up, eventually Johnson and Roadkill made there way up and Johnson connected with a spin kick to the face of the NLW Champion. Just seconds later out of nowhere Roadkill downed Dreamer with the highway to hell but they were still on the outside so it made no difference. Gradually all three men ended up back in the ring where Dreamer wiped out both Roady and Johnson with the Dreamer DDT and picked up a pinfall over Roadkill for the win. Winner - Danny Dreamer (pinfall) Chris Taylor Vs. Rage w/Cassie <Vacant EWE Cruiserweight Championship> Both guys wanted this title bad and this match was nothing less then expected, full of fast combinations that not even Kilbane and King could keep up with. The start of this one was full of leg sweep takedowns and arm drag take downs as the pair then started to avoid each others drop kicks by jumping to the ground before connection. The two then took part in some chain wrestling, which is Chris Taylor's speciality, but much to his credit Rage was able to keep up and counter holds then locking on holds of his own. Taylor showed his cruiser side as he connected with his standing moonsault followed up by his amazing shooting star press. It was not enough to keep Rage down though as he hit back with a move he calls the Rage effect. Rage on the hunt for his first ever EWE title dominated the match for a while and came close to winning the belt after hitting a twisting sit out powerbomb. Taylor blocked some of Rage's strikes and battled back, but he made a costly mistake as he climbed high to hit a 450 only for Rage to move leaving Taylor hitting the floor on impact. However the ex cruiserweight champion still managed a fight back as he super kicked Rage and then countered with a version of his tornado kick. However as Taylor was about to make the cover, Cassie shouted his name and told him to approach her. Taylor went up to Cassie and instead of revealing her puppies like she normally does she slapped him in the face. Rage came from behind and lifted Taylor up for a northern lights suplex and it was enough for the three count. Winner - Rage (pinfall) After the match Rage raised the cruiserweight championship and was joined by his girlfriend Cassie who raised his arm. Rage pushed her aside and said he no longer needed her; Cassie was upset and asked if it was all over, Rage nodded his head. An embarrassed Cassie slapped her ex boyfriend in the face and stormed off. MAIN EVENT - EWE Heavyweight Championship Match 'Nature Boy' Steve Farrell Vs. GBH © This was the one the crowd had been waiting for as GBH defended his title against BYW old-timer Steve Farrell. The two warriors locked up, GBH applied a tight headlock but Farrell lifted the champion up high and delivered an atomic drop. GBH looked stunned as Farrell then jabbed him in the face then sent him down and out of the ring area with a wind up punch. The crowd were hot and behind the Nature Boy but it wasn't looking good for the Naitch as GBH low blowed then locked on a tight headlock weakening the challenger down. The champion showed why he was the champ as he dominated Farrell for a large potion of the match locking on hold after hold. GBH was close to knocking Farrell out as he just booted him in the head but there was life in the old Naitch and he surprisingly mounted a comeback after back body dropping GBH. Some trademark chops followed and then a vintage Farrell flying knee drop to the head of the Heavyweight champion. Steve Farrell was up to the challenge and delivered a text spook vertical stalling suplex and then went to work on the legs of GBH. As Farrell had GBH locked in a spinning toehold the champion countered with a kick to the head leaving Farrell just to flop to the floor. GBH was right back on top of his game and again knocked Farrell senseless, this time with a running knee to the head followed up by a big scoop slam. The champion got a close count after connecting with a cross body from the ladders but it wasn't enough so GBH went back to using some submission/wear down holds. He tried his chances with a bridging northern lights suplex but again Farrell kicked out in the nick of time. GBH then mistakenly allowed Farrell to knee him in the head three times but Farrell made an equal mistake by climbing the ladders only to be thrown off. GBH then downed Farrell with a devastating German suplex but again the Nature Boy would not stay down for the three. A pumped up and psyched Farrell then controlled GBH and kept him down where he wanted him for the figure four. Farrell had already tried to hit a piledriver but it was reversed in to a back body drop. As Farrell questioned the referee on a decision GBH came from behind and locked on the GBache, The Naitch went down and faded after battling so hard. The referee checked Farrell's arm, 1 then 2 but then the challenger came back to life and battled back breaking free of the hold. Farrell signalled for the piledriver but was low blowed as GBH then lifted Farrell up for the emerald fusion but the Nature Boy grabbed his legs and took him down for the figure four. He was about to apply the figure four but GBH kicked him away and then again attempted the emerald fusion but his legs give way after the beaten Farrell had give his legs. GBH then picked Farrell up again and found the strength this time to hit the emerald fusion and that was all she wrote as the referee counted to three. Winner - GBH (Pinfall) |
