Backstage Steve Farrell walked in on fellow Hostile Intent members Rage and GBH as they were talking.  The Nature Boy said that because of the excellent result in the Savage Revenge main event he had to introduce the newest member of Hostile Intent, it was Nailz!  Nailz walked in wearing a shirt and dress trousers and shook hands with GBH and Rage.  Farrell then said that Hostile Intent must continue to be the most dominating force in EWE and do even better when it comes to getting titles.

The new EWE General Manager Osiris made his way out to the ring to cut a promo upon his debut in charge of EWE.  He touched up on a number of subjects, first of all he said there were going to be some big changes in the federation and was going to lay down the law.  Osiris then asked Commissioner X-Con and chief of staff Nitemare to come out to the ring.  The two came out and Osiris told them they had been doing a bad job running EWE so had to buck up there ideas or they would be out.  Nitemare did not seem to take much notice and was more interested in bragging to X-Con that he had beaten him at Savage Revenge.  Despite that Osiris went on to say that Kronus had been doing a bad job as Officer of Law and order therefore he had appointed someone new and this new officer of law and order was as hardcore as they come.  He introduced the new officer of law as non-other then Cactus Wreck (Wreckless).  Nitemare continued to be aggressive and then told Osiris he couldn't see him, Osiris agreed and told him he couldn't see him so much he was now suspended.  Ian the head of security then came in the ring and escorted the chief of staff away.  The GM then made an 18-man battle royal for the show where the winner would go on to face GBH for the title on Meltdown 10.  He then said that tonight's main event would be a match that goes back in history as the clocks get turned and Steve Farrell takes on Deen for the 9th time since 2002.  The score between them is 4-4 and they have battled it out over the years in classics ranging from TWXW, FXW and Northern Britfest 1.

Backstage Brandon stood next to Psycho Kid and cut a promo to the camera about how Nailz turned his back on PK at Savage Revenge.  Brandon said that PK was his best friend and what Nailz did had really made him angry so he then challenged Nailz to a match at the upcoming PPV, EWE Breaking Point.

El Diablo  Vs.  Brandon
This was a good fast paced match to kick off Meltdown with; Brandon grabbed Diablo's Spanish flag and wiped his feet with it. The two locked up and exchanged some holds then Diablo lifted Brandon up on to his shoulders but before he could do anything Brandon took Diablo down and locked in an arm bar.  The two continued to go it at with some reversals from each other's moves and the match was pretty evenly matched.  Diablo looked to be in control after a beautiful suplex but just as he got too cocky his opponent hit back with three clotheslines sending the Spanish sensation crashing down and he followed it up with a standing fall away slam.  Brandon then climbed up high and came crashing down with his trademark elbow drop but he only got a two count.  As he then dragged Diablo up, the Spanish sensation punched Brandon in the chest then hit a tiger bomb but again there was only a two count.  Then Diablo showed his frustration and hit a blue thunder bomb followed by a sit out powerbomb but still could not keep Brandon down for the three.  In a turn of the table Diablo missed a kick and Brandon came from behind and dragon suplexed him for a close call.  The match still went on and Diablo went to hit another tiger bomb but Brandon swept his legs and attempted a Texas cloverleaf but was kicked away.  Brandon then managed to get Diablo in the dragon suplex position again and once again hit it perfectly, this time it was enough for the three count.
Winner - Brandon (pinfall)

Backstage Osiris bumped in to EWE new boy Costa and he welcomed him to the fed saying it was good to have him aboard.  Hardcore champion Plague then interrupted and asked Osiris for a match in the process of pushing Costa away.  The GM said he was busy but Plague insisted on getting his attention and then started to insult Costa.  This lead to Osiris telling Plague to face Costa just to see how tough he really is.

At the arena entrance the cameras showed former FXW superstar Deen entered the arena for his big main event match.

Costa  Vs.  Plague
This was not a hardcore match there for Plague's hardcore title was not on the line.  Costa went in to this one looking for a big win on his debut but with the size difference the odds were stacked against him.  The start was an exchange of some chain wrestling but Plague came out on top when he booted Costa at full force in the head.  After Plague sent Costa to the ground with some big shoulder blocks he lifted him on his shoulders but Costa very smartly reversed it in to a head scissors.  As the match went on Plague was pretty much on top but at an odd time Costa would come fighting back only to be over powered once again.  Against the odds Costa managed to hit his 6 emotions of Costa but it wasn't enough and when Plague got up to his feet he said that Costa was not 'hardcore'.  To prove Plague wrong Costa went to the outside and got a road sign and then smashed Plague over the head with it and the referee appeared to then make the match a hardcore match.  The pair wound up on the outside and Costa countered a powerbomb in to the ditch with a hurricarana in to the ditch.  Trying to prove who was more hardcore the two then battled to the commentary area and Plague caught Costa on his shoulders and then climbed up on to the stack of crates where he proceeded to hit his end of days DVD threw the commentary table.  Both men were hurt but struggled back in the ring, Costa was quick and T Bone suplexed Plague threw half a table then went to the top of the ladders and connected with his orange bomb splash.  He made the cover and got a three count and big debut win over the EWE hardcore champion.
Winner - Costa (pinfall)

Backstage GBH and Nailz walked up to Chris Taylor and started complimenting him saying how great he was.  They then said that they wanted him to join Hostile Intent and Taylor seemed a little bit surprised.  Chris Taylor said he would think about the offer and let them know the answer next week on Meltdown 10.

The cameras showed Dark Carnival, Rage & Nailz, Cactus Wreck and Psycho Kid & Brandon enter for the battle royal before going backstage.

Backstage Osiris spoke to some roster members reminding them what is at stake in the battle royal and wishes them all good luck.  Commissioner X-Con then added some words of his own saying 'lets get it on'.

18 man Battle Royal for Heavyweight Championship Number 1 Contender
Featuring - Havoc, Ozzy Mayhem, Richard Carey, Cactus Wreck, Rage, Nailz, Psycho Kid, Brandon, Alexander A Loveless, Sparxx, Ian Security, eVo, Manix, Osiris, Homeless Joe, X-Con, El Diablo, Chris Taylor.

The match got underway and immediately eVo started punching Manix but the big man beast just lifted the little cruiserweight champion up and gorilla press slammed him over the top rope.  With so much at stake everyone was going for anyone and Alexander Loveless pulled out a staple gun and stapled the head of Ian Securities head in a sickening display.  Chris Taylor ran at Ozzy Mayhem and was hip tossed over the top rope meaning Taylor would not be going on to face GBH for the heavyweight title.  The General Manager Osiris was another early casualty as he went to throw Cactus Wreck out but Wreck reversed the throw and threw Osiris out.  The Commish made a mistake by climbing the ladders because as he jumped off he was caught by just about everyone and they then threw him out.  Psycho Kid and Nailz settled some scores as they went at it meanwhile Sparxx delivered a nice pulling piledriver to Wreckage.  Ian head of security was then eliminated by Alexander Loveless who soon after strangely eliminated himself telling his client Sparxx to finish off the rest of the job.  Manix picked up cactus Wreck and was about to press slam him out but Wreck rolled down his back and threw the big man out.  Brandon eliminated Richard Carey with a fall away slam over the top rope, his partner Psycho Kid then went under the rope to the outside but Brandon followed him and instead of going under the rope he accidentally stepped over it meaning he was out.  The ring was slowly clearing and Nailz suplexed Wreckage out and Sparxx threw Malice over the top.  This left Sparxx, Rage, Nailz, Psycho Kid, Cactus Wreck and Ozzy Mayhem going at it.  Rage threw Ozzy crashing against the ladders and started pounding him, meanwhile Wreck ran at Sparxx but was just back body dropped over the top meaning he would not be facing GBH at Meltdown 10.  In one corner Nailz and Psycho Kid still went at it trying to settle the score and Sparxx pounded Rage.  The two hostile Intent members then worked together on Sparxx and the dead man reversed an Irish whip and it was enough to send Nailz flying over the top.  As Nailz got the attention of Rage to wish him luck, Psycho Kid drop kicked the back of Rage sending him over the top but then moments later Steve Farrell came to ring side and distracted Psycho Kid, PK chose to ignore Farrell but up on turning around to go back in to action he was knocked over the top with a Sparxx uppercut.  As PK got up he give chase to Steve Farrell to the backstage area.  This left just Ozzy Mayhem and Sparxx going at it, Sparxx lifted Ozzy up for a choke slam but as Ozzy's feet left the ground he jumped high and drop kicked Sparxx over the top rope.  Mayhem celebrated his big win.
Winner - Ozzy Mayhem

Paul Kilbane, Caz and Jimmy King spoke about what had just went down and King said that the better man won the battle royal.  Alexander A loveless and Sparxx were walking past on the way backstage and heard King's comment.  Loveless said that the better man had not won because Sparxx did not win.  Sparxx then booted Jimmy King in the stomach and then in a sickening scene proceeded to tombstone the announcer right on his head.  Kilbane and Caz were left calling for medical treatment for their broadcast partner.

MAIN EVENT
'Nature Boy' Steve Farrell  Vs.  Deen

This match was like watching the clock turn back only the time there was no title on the line.  It was a slow start as Farrell was reluctant to tie up with his old rival but when he did Deen went straight for the arm of the Nature Boy but Farrell quickly battled back going for his opponents leg.  The tied up again this time exchanging a waist lock and a hammerlock before Deen tried his chances of a roll up but only collected a one count.  The two went to tie up for a third time but Farrell kicked his old rival in the stomach and took control for a short while before being kicked in the head and flopping down the floor.  Just like the old days Deen countered with a big leg drop as this vintage match continued to go backwards and forward between the two.  Farrell resorted to cheap tactics as usual such as a low blow and two fingers to the eyes.  This match was so even because both men seemed to know each other's every next move.  Both men were getting tired and started to slip up allowing each other to get shots in, as Farrell was in control he attempted to Irish whip Deen but he reversed it and back body dropped Farrell.  Deen came close to a win after hitting a move he calls the wonder world but it wasn't enough so he tried a leg drop from the ladders but missed.  The Nature Boy countered with a side suplex followed up by a running knee to the head before then making his usual mistake of climbing the ladder, which lead to him as always being thrown off.  Farrell hit back with a low blow and started to chop the bare chest of Deen before locking on the figure four-leg lock.  Deen struggled to the ropes but was dragged back to the middle a few times before finally finding the ropes and keeping tight a hold meaning the Naitch had to break the hold.  Steve Farrell climbed the ladder and connected with a fist drop, he missed the second one and as he was about to get up he felt the wrath of Deen's flash magic, luckily for Farrell his foot was touching the rope.  Things were heating up as Farrell then in a desperate attempt of the win hit his trademark piledriver only for Deen to some how kick out.  After a harsh fist fight Steve Farrell went to lock on the figure four leg lock but was kicked away, Deen then caught him out with a hellovater and it was enough for the three count and win on his last ever outdoor BYW match.
Winner - Deen (pinfall)
