| NAW Champion Titan entered the Byfleet arena and announcer Paul Kilbane rushed over to him with a microphone to conduct an interview. Kilbane asked Titan what he was doing at an EWE show and Titan responded with he was there to prove a point and show he is the best. He bragged about being NAW champion when suddenly EWE Heavyweight champion GBH approached him. GBH said that he was the champion around EWE so the NAW championship was worthless. GBH added that EWE was his territory and he wouldn't have outsiders coming in and acting like they run the fed. Kilbane stood back as the two heavyweights went face to face, after staring each other down for a few moments they each walked there separate ways. Paul Kilbane, Jimmy King and Alexio introduced the special Royal Rumble PPV. They spoke about the incident backstage just moments before the show involving GBH and NAW Champion Titan. They then spoke about the 20 man royal rumble and how many possibilities there were of whom could win it and go on to face GBH in a heavyweight championship match. General manager Ian Loveless stood next to Ed of Security holding out a hat with Rumble numbers in it. First to take a remaining number from the hat was Tag team champion Crowcain who seemed very happy with the number he drew. Then it was ex EWE wrestler Just Joe's (formally known as Homeless Joe) turn to take a number but he seemed less then impressed with his entry. Ozzy Mayhem then took a number out and seemed very disappointed with what he drew as he slowly walked away. Suddenly Cactus Wreck then snatched a number out and said he wouldn't miss the EWE Royal Rumble. Steve Farrell was next but as he went to grab a number, Ian Loveless stopped him while slowly pulling a bit of paper out from his pocket. Loveless said that because of Farrell's injured knee he would not be able to compete and the doctor's note proved that. The General Manager added that Farrell would no longer be an active member of the EWE roster so he had another job to do instead. Farrell would now be X-Con's personal wrestling teacher, the Nature Boy was less then impressed and walked off thinking it was all one big wind up. Finally Alexander A Loveless who was last seen being dragged away by the Dark Carnival came and chose the numbers for himself and Sparxx. Backstage Cruiserweight champion Rage walked past a mystery girl and checked her backside out. Rage then approached her and put his arm around her asking if she was all right and then took her off somewhere. This comes only a few weeks after he embarrassed Cassie by dumping her in front of everyone at Breaking Point. Royal Rumble The first entrant in the Royal Rumble was Ozzy Mayhem (1) and he had his work cut out because number two was his Dark Carnival team mate Richard Carey (2). The match is every man for himself so after the two teammates shook hands they locked up to get the Rumble underway. Cruiser Carey took Mayhem down with a flying head scissors but moments later Ozzy had nearly lifted Carey over the top rope but the cruiser managed to power himself back in the ring area. Rage (3) was next in and straight away the Dark Carnival duo doubler clotheslined him. Carey tried to suplex Rage over the top but the cruiserweight champion reversed it in to a snap suplex of his own. Two minutes past and Costa (4) was the next man to enter, he entered in style as he jumped from the crates on to Mayhem's shoulders and delivered a hurricarana. Costa and Rage worked together as they tried to out last the two Dark Carnival members but they were not having much luck. Costa threw Carey towards the ropes and Ozzy tossed him out much to everyone's surprise. Mayhem stood staring at Carey who was the first man to be eliminated but after all the Royal Rumble is everyman for himself. Ed of Security (5) was the next man to enter; rather stupidly he tried to break the match up by keeping Rage, Costa and Ozzy Mayhem apart. As expected all three men then pounced on Ed and laid the boot in to him while he was down. The action continued and as Costa gored Ed down to the ground just as he had got to his feet, Just Joe (6) then entered and went right for Ed too. Rage downed Just Joe with the Rage effect and Ed connected with the dangerous dealings on Ozzy Mayhem. Number seven was Reverend Creepy (7) who ran in and went straight for Ozzy Mayhem followed by Ed. Ozzy took revenge though as he nearly snapped Creepy in half with a very stiff suplex. Dead man Sparxx (8) then entered and cleared house taking everyone down with clotheslines and big shots to the head. Sparxx and Ozzy Mayhem who have a lot of heat then went face to face before exchanging punches to the face. Ozzy shoved Sparxx so the dead man ran back at Ozzy taking him down with a clothesline, Ozzy was angry at this point so delivered a perfect MKO. Mayhem was on form and picked Rage up in a scoop slam position and just dumped him out over the top rope. The crowd went crazy as X-Con (9) was the next to enter, in true X-Con style he entered on a bike. X-Con went straight for Ed of Security with some strikes to the head before turning his attention to Just Joe whose hand he shook. Sneaky Just Joe then attempted to eliminate the Commish but X-Con was smart enough to reverse the Irish whip coincidentally eliminating Just Joe. Costa attempted to hit the six emotions of Costa on Sparxx but on the sixth spin, Ozzy grabbed his head and threw him over the top rope. The excitable X-Con was then dancing around and accidentally knocked Ed of Security out over the top rope by elbowing him in the chest. Next to enter was Cactus Wreck (10) who ran to the ring holding a steel chair, up on arrival in the ring he launched the steel chair straight at X-Con. Wreck and Con were re living their wild encounter, which took place back on EWE Meltdown 3. Wreck shocked X-Con, as he pulled out mr socko and stick it down his throat. It was then time for NAW Champion Titan (11) to enter the rumble. Creepy ran straight at Titan but the champion just stuck his arm out and sent Creepy flying. Titan then lifted the Reverend up and just threw him over the top rope before going for Ozzy Mayhem. As Titan delivered a perfect double underhook suplex to Ozzy Mayhem the fans went crazy for something else, X-Con hitting his rolling thunder on Cactus Wreck. Sparxx spoiled the party though as he downed X-Con with a pulling piledriver. General manager Ian Loveless (12) joined the action next but was instantly attacked by Titan who was on a rampage. Titan then turned his attention on to the Commish as he grabbed him by the neck and threw him over the top rope. The 'Tower of power' Dave Canvey (13) was the next entrant and made a good start with a very powerful gore on Ozzy who was still hanging in there. Titan continued his eliminating streak as he back body dropped Ian Loveless over the top. Meanwhile Sparxx threw Cactus Wreck out who then left ringside in true repo man style. Alexander A Loveless (14) entered and delivered some cheap shots to Ozzy while Canvey and Sparxx were holding him. Crowcain (15) was then in as the freshman and he battled it out with Dave Canvey in the corner before throwing him over the top rope. Then just seconds later, Titan threw Alexander Loveless over the top rope to continue his impressive elimination record. But then that looked in jeopardy as Sparxx tombstoned Titan but still could not get him out. Misco (16) the EWE new boy then entered the rumble and made an impact straight away as he connected with a spinning kick to the dace of Sparxx, which was enough to knock him over the top rope. Ozzy Mayhem was injured and kept a low profile in the corner leaving Crowcain and Misco to go at it while Titan just stood and watched. Titan then decided to join in and quite easily threw Crowcain over the top as he and old enemy Misco went face to face. Next to come out was Cassie (17) and she immediately slapped Titan in the face, rather shockingly he retaliated and slapped her back, but she refused to let him get the better of her so she kicked him in the balls. As Titan was about to go for Cassie with a steel chair it was time for the next entrant and it was non other then the powerful Havoc (18) whom stopped Titan getting to Cassie. Havoc and Titan, two of the biggest guys in EWE then went at it meanwhile Destiny (19) ran in and clotheslined Cassie before eliminating himself pretty much straight away. Havoc connected with a perfect orange crush powerbomb on Misco despite feeling the wrath of a Titan sidewalk slam. The last entry in the rumble was Mikey Wreckage (20) who entered just after Titan delivered an evil hook gage to Misco. Misco responded with a moonsault plancha on Titan and Havoc, Just minutes later Wreckage got rid of the powerhouse Havoc but the story of the rumble was that Ozzy Mayhem who entered at number one was still in there. The evil Titan scooped Cassie up and slammed her over the top, so going on to face GBH would be Titan, Misco, Wreckage or Ozzy Mayhem. Powerhouse Titan lifted Wreckage up on his shoulders and threw him over the top leaving just three men in there. A brawl between Titan and Misco escalated to the outside as both guys went under the rope and made there way on to the crates. Titan then delivered a German suplex on Misco from on top of the crates sending both men back in to the ring. This allowed Titan to then suplex a weakened Misco out of the ring leaving it just two men. The crowd were behind Ozzy Mayhem as he and Titan locked up, Ozzy threw Titan back and connected with the MKO sending the big man down in a heap. The awesome Titan quickly recovered and hit a nice michinoku driver on the very tired and weak Ozzy Mayhem. Ozzy was not going to give in though and ran at Titan to hit a cross body but Titan caught him and fall away slammed Ozzy over the top rope to win the Royal Rumble. The crowd were not happy but Titan had won the match and was about to face GBH in a match for the EWE Heavyweight championship. Winner - Titan In the commissioners Office - X-Con spoke with Crowcain about how excited he was about being trained by Steve Farrell; the Commish added that he would be made as great as GBH. Steve Farrell then walked in and told X-Con that the training would begin on Meltdown 16. Crowcain kept interrupting the Nature Boy asking if he wanted to buy various items for a computer. Farrell lost his temper and rather abruptly told Crowcain that he didn't want to buy 'any bloody games'. MAIN EVENT - EWE Heavyweight Championship Match GBH © Vs. Titan For the first time in his EWE career the crowd were actually in support of GBH and right from the start of the match were dully behind him. The two champions locked up after some hesitation at first and they literally powered each other down to the ground while in a tie up position before breaking the tie up. GBH then spun around and locked Titan in a waist lock as the two then broke in to a very technical display full of holds and reversals. Titan then took GBH down with a Lou Thesz press and started to punch him in the head but the EWE champion turned over and unloaded a number of punches on GBH. Titan got to his feet and delivered a snap suplex to GBH as he then locked the champion in a side headlock but GBH reversed it only to then be hit with a big back breaker followed up by a side walk slam. The match was a great test for the champion, when it came down to raw technical ability GBH was easily able to match everything that Titan threw at him. With Titan's power and size he dominated threw out the match but the crowd were happy during the spells that GBH made a comeback. GBH nearly took the challengers head off with some of his kicks and he then went in to his chop and forearm combination as he had Titan in the corner. Later Titan placed GBH under the ladder and then climbed high before jumping off and delivering a knee drop but much to his displeasure he could only get a two count. GBH soon responded with a high risk of his own as he climbed to the top of the ladder and came down with a senton across the back of Titan. The champion then delivered a very evil looking dragon suplex on the NAW champion but could only get a two count from it. Titan tried to escape by struggling to the corner post but GBH came from behind and downed him with a stalling German suplex. There was no rest for Titan because after a brief comeback he was lifted up by GBH who then hit his trademark emerald fusion. That still was not enough though and Titan hit back with a brain buster but GBH wouldn't stay down. In desperation move GBH hit another German suplex and this time it was enough to keep Titan down for the three count. GBH is now in his sixth month as EWE Heavyweight champion, but how will Titan take this defeat? Tune in for Meltdown 16! Winner - GBH (Pinfall) |
