My youngest cousin from Canada...

Kairong feeding her youngest brother Jinyu, English name, Virjil, who is number four in his family.

My 4th Aunt's family visited us in March 2000, bringing along the 9 month old baby (the time when babies are at their cutest) with them, who rapidly became the centre of attraction, during their short stay with us. On the first day of their arrival, they stayed over at my granny's place. I was staying with my granny then. After a 20 hour journey to a place on the other side of the globe, they'll need some time to adjust their biological clock to Singapore's time. On the first two days, the 9-month old Virjil, suffering from jetlag, was talking and singing to himself throughout the night (didn't know babies do suffer from jetlag, until then). As a result of that, I went to school groggy the next day. Fortunately, it wasn't during exam period. ;P

Family photo at a restaurant. Everyone's smiling at the camera to have a photo taken, except the uncoorperative one. Can you spot where he is?

More photos of Virjil with his sunny day hairstyle.

They left Singapore two weeks later as the children need to go back to school. Here are some photos of Virjil celebrating his 2nd birthday back in Canada, one year plus later.

My aunt came back from Vancouver in September 2002. She brought along a photo album and here are some of the photos taken over the period of a year. She's finally taken a photo of her hair salon in Vancouver and it is my pleasure to put it up on the web. Some of you might find the name familiar. The head office is right here in Singapore, Bedok Central and the branch office is at the other side of Planet Earth... ;)

These are taken in winter 2001. They had a white Thanksgiving and Christmas over in Vancouver.

Trip to Washington and Oregon

My aunt's family went on a driving trip to Washington State and Oregon State last summer 2002. Here are some of the photos taken.

Breathtaking view of the Oregon coast, whose exquisite beauty is untouched by civilisation.

Boy, you're looking in the wrong direction.                 Virjil having his lunch with his mum.
