If I were me and still not me
If I were you and still not free

Would I give back to what I received
Would I wish and pray and better believed

If I had all the power the world had to offer
Would I need the solar system’s power instead
If only I wasn’t human and didn’t need my bed

No time for sleep, the mind wonders
Too much to do, no time to slumber

Time is spinning by and I can't freeze my soul
I have to spin too and accept when Im old

Make it go slower where ever you are
I am not ready to end,
I’ve more to learn my God my friend
Not ready to be among the stars

Regret rides on the backs of many
Whispering in our ear
Why did you waste your given years

What did you do to make it better?
Humanity was counting on you
You laid down and closed your eyes
Opportunity has passed you by

One down, millions to go
How much more can we possibly know

No one hears anymore, no one is seeking
They just live and life passes them by
Gone while we watch more blinking

Yet, in our soul we can not escape the yearning
Something is in there and it is screaming
Get me out, before time steals me
I leap to another soul, and start again
Repeating the pattern but I never win.
