My Poems
A Comparison

Life is like a tornado;
A churning maelstrom of unpredictability.
Joyously passing some by,
While devastating others.
Miraculously born, only to die,
Yet imprinting memories that endure forever.

Meant To Be

Here I sit, Kicked back in my chair,
Looking at someone with lovely hair.
She brightens my wall, my heart and life,
Has completely rid me of past strife.

She must have been Heaven sent,
As I was such an unworthy gent.
Answered my fantasies and dreams,
Finally understand what Love means.

My life has changed forever,
Us has become my only endeavor.
As I write this tears do flow,
Tears of joy, as my heart does glow.

There shall be a day we are one,
As Our Love will never be out done.

Meant to Be..................

My Guide

It is cloudy and is raining,
but the sunshine in my heart glows.
Passing days and diminishing rays,
our Love consistently grows.

The Sun sets and  Moon rises,
these days of perpetual changes.
Although apart You have My Heart,
across land or sea or mountain ranges.

With certainty and confidence,
You are most lovely and bright.
believing ever faithfully,
that this is so right.

Happy I am and happy I will be,
knowing your forever by my side.
Wanting you and loving you,
forever as My Guide.

Our Love Will Never Be Undone

Your smells filled my pillow,
Your dreams filled my head,
Sometimes unbelievable fantasies,
Come true when you are led.

I have loved for an hour,
I have loved you for all times,
And if fate has a purpose,
It comes to me in rhymes.

Forever I shall love you
As it is an easy task,
For neither one of us dreams,
Of ever wearing a Mask.

You are the one,
My only one,
That I shall truly love,
With hopes and dreams and things yet unseen ,

Our love will never be undone.

Candy Jar

I sit looking at a candy jar,
Full of delectable delights.
And as I see and ponder them,
You and only you fill my nights.

I open the jar and grab a piece,
And peel the wrapper away.
Exploring the sweetness buried inside,
And  find I love you more each day.

I place that candy in my mouth,
And taste it with my tongue.
By knowing you I shall forever be,
The one that feels so young.

You have stirred my soul,
And truly warmed my heart.
And since our first encounter,
I have known we will never part.

If life is like this candy jar,
I know my being is complete.
For as candy does melt away,
No other love shall ever compete.

Forever Touched

I saw a list tonight,
Of people willingly helping others,
They died in this pursuit.

What a waste of humanity,
It is hard to believe it is true,
That others would have such disregard.
For Life, for Love for Themselves.

Their beliefs had been so badly guided,
By one so completely evil,
They alone believed their actions,
Were ordained by God himself.

So why did he do it?

Something we may never know,
For sure will never understand,
For God's sake we shall go on,
As lovers of life an just to love.

We are creatures of diversity.
Not always in agreement,
Life shall prevail, it always does,
Even if others perish in this endeavor.

I shall know my heart has been touched upon.

With A Grin

Summer struggled,
Long sleepless nights,
Never thinking,
It would be right.

Alas they said,
One very fine day,
You made it to,
Graduation Day.

Time completed,
Will never change,
Only futures,
We rearrange.

Now new journeys,
Will just begin,
So start out strong,
Faced with a grin.

Final Curtain

Our souls having touched,
We shall never be the same,
It is as if we always have,
Known each others name.

Our love does run deep,
And our passion is true,
Us knowing that forever,
We shall never be blue.

For love brings  happiness,
That neither of us has felt,
A joy, a peace, a serenity,
That causes our hearts to melt.

Forever we shall be as one,
This we know to be certain,
Never alone or apart shall we be,
Until our final curtain.

I Strive

My Life revolves,
around many planes,
Tangents spiraling outwards.

Revolving around,
a single source,
A love so very hard,

My love so deep,
If ever broken,
This heart shall never end.

I have put my all,
Into an Us,
that if fails will be off the deep end.

Life Will go on,
Heartless and cold,
Until the time I grow old.

Another Life ,
I do foresee,
Us walking a street of Gold.

Through life's struggles,
We shall succeed,
Battered and bruised , Yet Alive.

For having You,
Near and Dear,
Is for All I Strive.

Love May Be

Love may be won,
Yet seldom understood until gone.

Love may be gained,
Giving joy onto those it reigned.

Love may be strong,
Lasting a day, or be life long.

Love me be joy,
Should never be treated as a toy.

Love may be sound,
Looking for hearts wanting to be found.

Love may be free,
Broken hearts would surely disagree.

Love may be weak,
Exploration needed to achieve its peak.

Love may be lost,
Only then do you feel the cost.

Love may be ours,
If willing to be seduced by its powers.

Love may be...................

Not Just Today....

I Hope this finds you happy and well,
Longing to listen, as I must tell.

I awoke this morning, smiling and free,
Knowing that I, had fun with thee.

Snuggled and cuddled so tightly in bed,
I felt your hand so near to my head.

Joyish feeling your touch on my soul,
I felt your warmth filling a hole.

When you are near I feel so alive,
Wanting to trust you, and that is no jive.

Fate leads us, down many strange roads,
And in this process, we all kiss a few toads.

Hearts have been opened, broken and crushed,
By people telling us words filled with mush.

Elusive this thing, this thing called love,
As if only meant for the wings on a dove.

People grow, and of course people change,
often causing lives to be rearranged.

With a final note I will cease and desist,
Tears fill my eyes, cannot see through the mist.

In you, I have truly found a friend,
Not just for today, but until the end.

Sunshine

Sunshine on my face,
Sunshine on my heart,
Knowing life is,
Just a series of starts.

Sunshine on my shoulders,
Sunshine on my head,
Filling me with joy,
Removing all of the dread.

Sunshine on my fingers,
Sunshine on my toes,
Happiness engulfs me,
Relieving all of my woes,

Sunshine on my day,
Sunshine on my life,
I have come to know,
One that gives no strife.

Sunshine has filled me,
Sunshine has made me strong,
Fate brought us together,
I know it cannot be wrong.

In All Good Time

Worried sick,
Thinking the worse.
Wondering if life,
Has an awful curse.

Longing to know,
You are alright.
My eyes refused,
To close this night.

I love you so,
And always shall.
You make me whole,
As you are My Pal.

This rhyme may have,
No valid reason.
But it has flowed,
Like the change in season.

If this finds you,
Well and good.
This poem is useless,
As I pray it would.

Peace you bring,
To a troubled heart.
Yearning for you,
Hoping never to part.

You do inspire,
And bring me hope.
Always allowing,
This man to cope.

This poem I write,
With someone in mind,
Not knowing what are,
Their plans in kind.

I dream they do,
Coincide with mine.
Surviving the worst,
In all good time.

Moments In Time

Moments in time
Some lost
Some remembered
All important to
The life we lead

Moments in time
Some purged
Some forgiven
All a step in
The life we lead

Moments in time
Some disillusioned
Some plain as day
All wisdom in
The life we lead

Moments in time
Just moments
Good or bad
They are our
Moments in Time

Five, Thirty and Eight
Can a parade by starlight,
be considered a date ?

Bagpipers in kilts ,
Pretty horses on wheels ,
A silly man on pump up stilts .

Bands of all sizes and firemen flew ,
Stagecoaches, boats, clydesdales, puppies ,
Princesses,mermaids, squaredancers too .

An enjoyable evening not soon forgot ,
Temperature warm, skies were clear ,
Although I am certain some participants got hot.

All in all a great night,
late as it were ,
ending in a hug , that just felt right .
