Return To Castle Wolfenstein (PC)
If you own a PC then chance is that you've been waiting excitedly for Return To Castle Wolfenstein to arrive, now that it's finally here I know you're gagging to know if it's any good, so just to cut the suspense I tell you straight off that it is good. Very Good.
First thing a normal person would notice about this game is the gorgeous graphics. I have to say they are amazing. Objects are detailed, character animations are spot on and lighting effects are spectacular.
The single player game, unfortunately, is pretty average apart from the graphics. The story, spanning 27 levels, is uninvolving so I wont even bother explaining it. The characters aren't at all memorable, humourous or anything much actually. The enemies are delightfully evil even if the zombies look a bit more like mummies.
The sound in general is okay. One confusing thing about the game is the German soldiers. They speak English, unlike those in Wolfenstein 3D, this isn't too distracting though.
Finally we get to the multiplayer. It's fantastic. The game is worth buying just for the multiplayer mode, it's revolutionary! The multiplayer mode contains 7 large levels, now you may think that's not enough, but trust me, it is. The game has scrapped traditional modes of play such as deathmacth and has more objective based levels where teams must work together to perform certain tasks. The multiplayer is highly stable so there's no need to worry.
Overall the games just worth the money for the multiplayer but the single player game is still better than 75% of single player games out there. My advice is, if you like shoot-em ups buy this now.
