Wario Land 4 (GBA)
By Screaming Psycho

Wario has just heard about a buried treasure in an ancient ruin and set of for
another adventure. This is where we catch up with him. Before Wario can
get his hands on the big treasure he must first complete four different passages. Each of these passages has four levels and leads to a final boss. Once all four passages, 16 levels and 4 bosses, have been beaten Wario will have what he needs to enter a pyramid where the treasure has been buried.
The graphics in this game are in fact stunning. This has got to be the best looking platformer out on the GameBoy Advance. The animations are perfect and the locations look great. The bosses look especially wierd and wonderful.
The controls here have been tweaked to perfection. It really feels like you have total control over Wario.
The game itself is actually pretty short but at least you have a few mini games to play on the way. Actually there are three and they can be quite fun. One is a baseball game, another has Wario jumping over obstacles and the last has you rearranging Wario's face in a weird memory game. While playing these minigames you recieve medals which you can use to buy items to help you beat bosses.
One cool and original aspect of the game is that once you complete a level you must race all the way back to the beginning within a time limit otherwise you'll be trapped! Occasionally you will have to take alternate routes back since the originals might be bloacked so sometimes this can be a confusing experience.
Overall this is a brilliant game, one of the best platform games on the GameBoy Advance. It won't keep you busy for long but it's good while it lasts.
