Wave Race Blue Storm (GC)
One of the few GameCube racing titles available at
launch, maybe also the best. If you owned the original
Wave Race on the N64 then you should definately
enjoy this game. The controls may be hard to get
used to at first but they will grow on you if you're
patient. The graphics are pretty damn good, the water effects are some of the best ever, the riders are well animated but could be better, but there isn't just movement going on above the waves, if you look down you will see all kinds of sea creatures from turtles to killer waves and dolphins beneath the surface. The tracks are well designed and there are lots of interesting things going on, in icy levels you will see glaciers crumble, on the open sea ships will drop cargo into the water right infront of your racer, whetever happens you will be on the edge of your seat. The game is actually quite short with only 10 levels in all, but there are some cool play modes inculding Sunt and Free Run. Overall this is a decent racing game, it can be difficult at times but if you perservere you will end up satisfied.
