Austin Powers in Goldmember
I liked the first two Austin Powers movies so I pretty
much thought I would like this no matter what. And I did.
Ok, some of the jokes fell flat and Austin's crazy
shenanigans may not be as hilarious as they were first time round but this was still unbelievably funny, but here's a warning, it's ludicrously silly, and if you don't like toilet humour, gross out comedy and the likes then this is not the film for you.
Here's the basic plot in case you wanted to know: Upon learning that his father has been kidnapped Austin travels to 1975 to defeat the aptly named villain Goldmember.
Micheal Caine is great as Nigel Powers (Austin's dad) and Mike Myers is as funny as ever in all his roles, this time he plays Austin Powers, Dr. Evil, Fat Bastard and Goldmember. Beyonce isn't too bad as Foxxy Cleopatra but does let down the acting slightly overall. There are some fabulous cameos though, and they are just awesome, I wont tell you who they are, you'll have to go and see!
This is definately a must see movie for all Austin Powers fans and anyone who wants to see a truly hilarious comedy, those of you who don't like silly humour should stay away though.
