| Buffy Season 1 DVD Here's where it all started, the beginning of Buffy. The first season itself was pretty damn good with episode highlights such as "Welcome To The Hellmouth", "Angel" and "Prophecy Girl". While the special effects back then weren't all that the scripts were just as funny and scary as they are now. The first season consists of 12 episodes and are spread over 3 dics here. The picture quality is generally good, the colours are clear and vibrant but there is noticable grain, this is because of the source material and is nothing to do with the dvd transfer. The sound is DD 2.0 and is crisp, the voices sound clear coming from the front with back speakers used for music. The extras aren't breathtaking here but they are welcome indeed. The set contains two Joss Whedon commentaries, an interview with Joss Whedon and David Boreanaz, a trailer, the pilot script, a photo gallery, a music video by Hepburn and a Buffy screen saver. Overall this is a big treat for Buffy fans and if you don't own this yet, what are you waiting for? Get it. If you aren't a Buffy fan then you might just want to watch the episodes on television.
