Buffy Season 4 DVD (15)
If you look at season 4 overall it doesn't look too good, it's gets off to a slow start and some episodes are rather dull, ironically season 4 is host to some of the best ever Buffy episodes. I am of course talking about the spectaculer "Hush" and "Restless" episodes that are just too good for television. Other season highlights include "Something Blue", "A New Man" and "This Years Girl/Who Are You?"
The picture quality for this release is miles ahead of the previous seasons. It's been released in it's correct widescreen ratio and anamorphic. The picture is clear with no grain and vivid colours, the blacks are much richer than before. The sound is once more DD 2.0 and is as always crisp and clear.
The extras are the best yet for a Buffy release. This set includes 4 scripts, 6 commentaries (Hush and Restless by Joss Whedon) 5 featurettes titled "Hush, The Sets of Sunnydale, Inside the Music, Introducing Spike and Season 4 Overview, trailers, biographies and a stills gallery.
Overall this is a season mixed with dull episodes and breathtaking ones. The DVD itself is fantastic though and if you are a fan you will love this.
