Daredevil

An accident with radioactive waste leaves a young boy,
Matt Murdoch, blinded, but his remaining senses are
heightened. When his father is murdered by the notorious
Kingpin he uses his new power to bring justice to New
York's Hell's Kitchen, a superhero by night and lawyer by day, helping the innocent and hunting down the guilty. Ben Affleck is suprisingly good as Daredevil, Jennifer Garner is stunning as the beautiful Elektra, John Favreau is hilarious as Franklin "Foggy" Nelson, Collin Farrel is wonderfully over the top as the psychotic Bullseye and Micheal Clarke Duncan is menacing and intimidating as the evil Kingpin. The story is pretty interesting but it does feel as if they've tried to cram in too much into such a short running time. The action is often intense but sometimes disorientating perhaps purpousfully, but it can be annoying. The CGI is convincing but often unneccesary, only truly needed for Daredevil's radar vision which is perhaps the most innovative and original special effect on offer. The fight sequances are well choreographed though, especially the playground scene with Daredevil and Elektra and the fight in the church with Daredevil and Bullseye. The ending is slightly anti-climactic but is that way for a reason, so one cannot be too picky about this. Overall this is an enjoyable superhero movie, there are some great action scenes and funny moments but there are plot holes aplenty and times when it does get a bit boring, the soundtrack is tedious, the direction is simply dull and the fights sequances are badly edited in places, there are some fantastic ideas here but they're just not properly explored. This is still very entertaining though, just as long as you try to focus on the good instead of the bad.
