Panic Room
Directed by David Fincher (Fight Club) this movie focuses
on one night in the life of Jodie Foster's character as
she moves into a beautiful house in New York with her
daughter. The two go to sleep only to be awoken by a
group of armed robbers downstairs. Thinking quickly they run and hide in the panic room, a high security room in the middle of the house. The only problem is that what the robbers are looking for is in that room.
The movie may be slow paced at times but for the most part it's edge of your seat suspense. This film has been shot very well, the camera glides around the house eerily, moving through small spaces. One part that stays in mind is a long tracking shot of the robbers inspecting the house from the outside, the camera inside the house moves to follow their movements, up and all around the exterior.
Overall this is the years best thriller so far, if you enjoy bucket loads of suspense then this is your film.
