The Sum Of All Fears
CIA analyst Jack Ryan (Ben Affleck) must save the day
after a group of neo-fascists plant a bomb at the superbowl
and blame it on Russia. Will Ryan be able to stop the
president of the US from returning the favour and ultimately
starting a new world war? An interesting plot but unfortunately this film has none of the action you would expect from something like this, instead it's long, dull and slow paced. There are some good parts that stop this from being utter rubbish, one being the explosion of the nuclear device that is both shocking and dramatic, but at times the movie is over sentimental and implausable. The ending is both cheesy and clichéd, and some of the dialogue is just dire. Overall this is another average flick, it's watchable but nothing special.
