| Spiderman I went into the cinema eager to see the film, I wasn't expecting it to be anything special. I was suprised though, it was actually a lot better than I thought it would be. The relentless action scenes are fast and frantic and amazing to watch and don't get tiring at all. The special effects are excellent, most of the time very convincing, although the Green Goblin occasionally looks more like a robot in his suit. The pacing of the film is great and will certainly keep you interested. There are a few laughs here and there but don't expect anything side splitting. The story is basically a big fight between Spiderman and the Green Goblin but the scenes between Peter Parker and Mary Jane add a whole lot more to the film, the final scene between the two is particularly great to watch as we see Parker having to make a big decision. The moral being "with great power comes great responsibility" and this theme is kept throughout. Overall this is a great film, excellent special effects and action scenes with a great performance from Tobey Marguire. Can't wait for the sequal. Rating- 7/10 |
