Family Guy Season 1 DVD (15)
Finally the UK gets the new Family Guy DVD set, is it any
good? Read on.
This 2 disc set includes all episodes that were originally set
make up season one of Family Guy. There are 14 episodes
in all and they are featured in all their UNCTUT glory. You see, when you watch Family Guy on TV, even on Sky, you see a cut version. Cut versions of episodes are usually 20-21 minutes long whereas the UNCUT versions are 23 minutes long, scenes that are cut are usually deemed unsuitable for young audiences and that really isn't fair because scenes that are cut are usually the funniest ones.
The picture for the DVD is generally good. It may not be fantastic but it doesn't really matter that much.
The sound is pretty avarage. There has been no attempt to improve it for the DVD but again that doesn't matter, it's good enough.
Now we come to the extras. This is where it gets really bad. There are no extras apart from the fact that the episodes are UNCUT. This is such a shame because some behind the scenes documenteries or interviews with the cast would have been great. Let's keep our fingers crossed for the season 2 discs.
Overall this package is great. It's only priced at around £20 and that is a bargain, the show itself is hilarious. Go buy this DVD now!
