| Futurama Seaon 1 DVD Set Futurama follows the exciting adventures of a delivery boy called Fry who was accidently frozen on New Years Eve 1999 and awoke in 2999. He teams up with Leela, a purple haired cyclops and Bender, a rude robot that likes to steal. Working for the planet express delivery service they travel to strange new worlds and fly through space, or just lounge around on Earth watching All My Circuits. This DVD contains the first 13 episodes of the show on 3 seperate discs. The show itself is very funny, it's definately better than the first couple of seasons of The Simpsons already. With such a good start it can only get better. The picture quality is excellent, very clear and sharp with vivid colours. A lot of the scenes in the show have 3D animation and it comes to life brilliantly. The audio is okay, it's about right. What about the special features? We have a featurette, a stills gallery with hidden footage from an interview with creator Matt Groening, a trailer, animatronics for Space Pilot 3000 including previously unseen footage, a Script for Space Pilot 3000 including notes, Story Board for Space Pilot 3000, 8 Deleted Scenes and commentry from Matt Groening and co. on every episode! The commentries are especially good here because everyone commenting seems to be having fun and they're joking around while pointing out important info on every episode. Included in that list of extras are a few hidden art work easter eggs. The show is hilarious, the DVD is great, excellent picture, good sound and tons of cool special features.
