++Modelling-Eldar Storm Guardians++

Being an avid fan of all things Eldar, I knew that I could not hold off my need to get them Guardian Storm Squads. As I have been perusing all manner of Forums, I realised that a lot of people out there just didn't know where and how to get parts for these Guardians hence I decided to write this short modelling guide.

The parts used:
1. One box of Guardians
2. Ten Eldar arms sprues (SKU: 100825)
3. Ten Eldar weapons sprue (SKU: 100813)
4. Some Dark Eldar heads and blades

The parts above can be obtained at GamersParadox (those nice people hosting this site and I can get those orders from you!).

How I did it:
1. The legs were glued onto the base but since I wanted them to carry a charging pose, I stuck the legs at strange angles, as if they were strafing and ducking into cover. The only exception was the captain, who bore a Dark Eldar head and carries a different sword (the one that looks like a power weapon), who did not have his legs bent. He had to look like he was in control. This part might test your patience a little as the legs tend not to glue into place and often will need some filling at the crotch area due to the gap from the legs.

2. The rest of the Guardian's body was then constructed but leaving out their arms and weapons. The head was tilted to look in a direction akin to them staring at their enemy. All heads, except the two carrying the melta guns, were the ones without helmets. I got them from my collection of heads due to the number of Guardians I have.

3. This is where you can just go wild and create all sorts of positions for your men. As for me, I created them using only chainswords. The next squad (yes...I am doing an ALL Guardian Army!) will use all the swords similar to the power swords (though they count as normal CC weapon). After that, its a matter of painting and playing!

The results:

Hopefully this article has helped all budding craftworlds out there to build their own Storm Squads allowing death to be dealt in the most appropriate fashion! Till then, happy modelling!
