| So far, this is just an interesting hobby. Hopefully, this site may be a help to someone who is seeking a gravesite. I travel a bit and make it part of my trip to stop at a cemetery and take at least one floppy disc of photo's. Also, I like to seek out cemeteries with an interesting history or unusual qualities. My biggest endeavor has been to photograph the entire Zion Baptist Cemetery, located in Shelby, Cleveland County, NC. One main reason, it is the church I associate with, another, there is an unusual monument there about a man who fell from an airplane and landed in the graveyard. LAKEVIEW MEMORY, Clover, SC: Taken from obiutuaries LITTLE CHOGA, Aquone, Macon Co., NC: I was asked to transcribe this cemetery and it is extremely unique. There are lots of stones without dates which represent graves that were moved during construction of the dam on the Nantahala River.. There are also some new stones, some as late as after 2000. Cemetery is extremely remote. The church that sets there has never had power nor running water and is very well kept by descendants of this area.
