Left photo is Wilmington and Western's classic 4-4-0 #98 (Alco 1909) on upper Wooddale Trestle, note the swollen creek in this photo. At the height of Hurricane Floyd the creek crested at the height of the rails and the raging waters washed away the two central bents (upright supports). Right photo shows the reconstruction of the trestle including the installation of two newly fabricated bents.
