Eric Forrester grew up with his parents and his brother John. The family wasn’t rich but also not poor. In High School, Eric met Elizabeth Henderson and they fell in love. They graduated High School and preceded to Northwestern University.

Stephanie Douglas grew up with her parents and two sisters, Lauren and Pam. The wealthy families of Marone and Douglas were good friends and that is how Massimo and Stephanie got to know each other. The families often spent days by Lake Geneva, Wisconsin together and had yachts docked there. Massimo always loved Stephanie and their families wanted them to marry. When graduating High School, Stephanie moved to the west coast to start Northwestern University, where Massimo was already a student. Their relationship continued.

It was at Northwestern University that Eric and Stephanie first met. Eric was a senior student while Stephanie was a freshman. They were introduced to each other at a fraternity party. Stephanie immediately got interested in him and wanted him for herself. But his girlfriend, who she never met, was an obstacle. Stephanie slept with Massimo on his boat on night, and one night only. After a week or two, Stephanie and Eric met up again on a boat ride. Evidentially, there had been a wild party and Eric had been drinking and was pretty drunk. Eric and Stephanie were left alone on the boat and couldn’t deny the passion they had for each other and made love. A few days after that, Stephanie found out she was pregnant. And as she had had her period after her night with Massimo, she assumed Eric was the father. Stephanie told Massimo about her pregnancy and he suggested that he take care of her and the baby. But that was not what Stephanie wanted. She told Eric about her pregnancy and he wasn’t too thrilled. A kid in his age with a girl he barely knew wasn’t something he wanted. But after some thinking, Eric decided to marry Stephanie and raise his son. He left a devastated Beth behind and Eric started getting used to the idea to be a husband and a father and was actually looking forward to it. And so Stephanie became Mrs Eric Forrester.

For their honeymoon, they borrowed Mr. Douglas Studebaker and drove up the coast. They didn’t own their own car at the time. They made some romantic stops and made love on the beach and Eric started falling in love with his wife. Upon returning to Los Angeles, the couple bought a house and moved in together. It wasn’t the current mansion they bought as they couldn’t afford it yet. It was a tiny little house. (I have heard somewhere that the house was actually today’s Forrester guesthouse, but I can’t be sure of that information.)

Eric told his wife about his dream to become a fashion designer and Stephanie went to her parents to ask for a great deal of money. They gave her it and with them, she and Eric created Forrester creations. Stephanie decorated the building they bought and Eric started with his designing. Together, they worked day and night to make Forrester creations successful. Stephanie even suggested some changes to Eric’s first design. And after a few years, Forrester creations was a world known, respectful and very successful fashion house.

Not long after their wedding, Ridge was brought into the world. At the time Stephanie first went into labour, Eric was in the middle of a press conference concerning the building of Forrester creations and had to leave it. But it was worth it cause his son was about to be born. Stephanie wanted to name their son Eric Jr, but Eric thought it would be too selfish.

After a while, Stephanie got pregnant again. Eric had to leave town for a while in business. And that was when Stephanie went into labour. But there was something wrong with the baby girl. The doctors explained that Angela was microcephalic and probably wouldn’t live to be 10 years old. Stephanie was devastated at the thought of loosing her child and thought about Eric and what it would do to him to loose a child when knowing her for a few years. So Stephanie felt it was best if her husband lost his daughter before he grew attached to the girl and created a bond with her. Also, she knew it would be difficult to raise a handicapped child at the same time as you worked so hard with a fashion house. She hired a doctor (Dr. Todd Powell) and a nurse to take care of Angela in a house in Malibu she rented in her maiden name. When Eric returned, he was told Angela had been stillborn.

Not very long after that, Stephanie got pregnant with Kristen and not long after that, Thorne. Both pregnancies went well without any complications.

After a few years, Stephanie got pregnant again. This pregnancy was the most difficult she had ever experienced. She was sick all the time. The labour started premature and the doctors wanted Stephanie to keep her in labour because of that. She was going through excruciating pain, but had her husband right by her side the whole time. He was impressed with her for going through what she was and her fighting spirits. She refused to give up. And so, Felicia was born. Both mother and child’s life was hanging on a thread, but they both survived.
They brought Felicia home and that was the happiest time they had ever experienced in their marriage up to that point. Years later, Eric told Stephanie that that was the time he found her the sexiest woman in the world. That he used to watch Stephanie bade Felicia and Felicia hated it. She screamed and Stephanie giggled. But in the end, Felicia would calm down and just stare up at her mother´s eyes, a mother that loved her so much.

Years went by and in the end, Stephanie and Eric drifted further and further apart as Eric was very busy at Forrester creations and Stephanie was home raising the children. Kristen and Stephanie also drifted apart as they hardly saw eye to eye about anything. Kristen turned to her father instead. Felicia was the rebel who did whatever she wanted to. And she moved away to go to collage. Thorne felt like he was living in his brother’s shadow, and Ridge himself became the playboy designer who women desired.
