Sally had fallen for Eric and wanted to be with him. She went to the party Ridge and Brooke had planned for Eric even though she wasn´t invited. Stephanie wanted her to leave but Eric let her stay. He even danced with her. Afterwards, Stephanie told Sally she could stay as she only embarrassed herself. Sally was mad at Stephanie and swore to win Eric. But the evening ended with Eric and Stephanie slow dancing and the morning after, they woke up together. But Sally wasn´t finished. Another evening, she had Gladys do a little make-over on her and headed over to see Eric. But she was too late. Stephanie and Eric were enjoying a romantic evening when Eric got a phone call. That was when Sally dropped by and was very surprised to see Stephanie, elegantly dressed up, answering the door. Sally gave her some harsh words. She told Queen Stephanie that she was being pathetic in her quest to win Eric back. They she was throwing herself on Eric. Sally left Stephanie alone, thinking Sally had a good point. Eric returned and wanted another dance. Stephanie asked if she was throwing herself at him as she was the one who brought the music, the whine and the food. Eric told her no, he thought it was charming. He reassured her with a kiss.

Later, Eric was told by Michael that Spectra Fashions had been steeling the Forrester Creations line and was planning to have their designs in their showing. Eric was furious and wanted to turn them in. But it was too late. If Eric did, he wouldn´t only stop Spectra´s showing, but he would be stopping Forrester´s showing as well. And that wasn´t an option. His only option was to get Sally to drop her showing willingly. So he started dating her in order to get her to feel guilty and drop her showing. Sally was thrilled that Eric showed her interest. Stephanie and Taylor saw Eric having dinner with Sally at Café Russe and Stephanie was hurt. She left the restaurant. Taylor went over there, asking why he was there with Sally. Eric told Taylor they were dating. But Taylor wasn´t convinced. So Eric told her the truth. She had to swear to keep it quiet cause if Stephanie knew, then Sally would also know. They needed Stephanie’s true reaction to pull it off.

The day of both houses fashion shows was there and Sally still planned to go through with her show. Eric was getting frustrated. He invited Sally to Forrester´s showing and Sally decided to go. Eric said he had a statement to make after the showing and Ridge told Stephanie he thought Eric was going to ask Steph to marry him. So Stephanie got her hopes up. But unfortunately, Ridge had been wrong. Instead of Stephanie, Eric asked Sally to be his wife!

Sally excepted Eric´s proposal and they kissed. Stephanie was devastated and rushed out of there. The proposal made Sally see that she couldn´t go through with Spectra´s showing and she called Saul to stop it. Eric found out and gathered the family. He told them the whole truth and everyone was so relieved, especially Stephanie. She went over to Sally´s office at Spectra to “congratulate” Sally. She asked Sally if she felt any sympathy for Stephanie at all. Sally gleefully told her no. She didn´t feel sorry for Stephanie at all. Sally then continued by letting Stephanie try on her ring, as it was the only time Stephanie would ever get to have Eric´s ring around her finger again. Stephanie took the ring, looked at it and took out a hammer. She swung it to the ring, making it break in pieces. Sally was shocked that it wasn´t a diamond ring, but a ring made of glass. Stephanie smiled smugly at Sally, informing her of why Eric proposed to her and left.

In 1997, Sally was determined to stop Stephanie from marrying Eric. She got hold of a videotape with Eric making love to Lauren and took a snapshot from it. She had Darla go over to the wedding, dressed as a waitress and place the picture in the minister’s bible. When the minister turned page, he saw the picture and halted the wedding. Stephanie found out the truth and cancelled the wedding – all thanks to Sally.

And in 2001, Sally learned Ridge was Massimo´s son and threatened time and time again to expose the truth to the world. Yet, she has been able to keep her mouth shut about it...
